Just watched Everton draw 2-2 with Werder Bremen. Decent friendly. I thought we were the better side but as usual prone to silly mistakes (both Bremen's goals resulted from stupid defending) and didn't capitalise on our territorial domination - or indeed, a zillion and one corner kicks.

Anyway, Spain must have some incredibly good midfielders if Mikel Arteta can't get an international look-in. Arteta was quite brilliant tonight.

If Xabi Alonso, Iniesta or Joaquin are better players than Arteta, I'll eat my hat.

Fabregas is, sure, but one swallow...

 

i'm somewhat disappointed we didn't give Rossi more of a chance, although that is a decenty price. we better damn well sign Tevez, though.

i watched the game also and yes, Arteta was awesome. hence him being in my Sun dream team for 4m. the Bremem keeper did well to keep Everton out on a few occasions.
