Burnt my quesadilla. Another negative point for me.

 

Swept the apartment before work.
Bought Christmas gifts after work (but also bought myself 2 things).
Instead of ordering in I'm going to use leftovers to make a food thing.
Contacted the vet about a weird thing on my cat's ear and her incessant scratching of weird thing.
Sent my boyfriend roughly 10 frantic texts about the cat.
And I'm gonna scoop the litter boxes.

So that ends up being...+3?

 

That's so adult it's creepy

Nothing adult for me these days. I'm on sick/unpaid leave till at least June and enjoying every moment of it

 

-Educated youths
-Attended a meeting
-Laughed instead of cried at poor management
-Educated more youths
-Went shopping
-Did math

But now about to play video games to make up for all that.

 

Well we bought a house today. I don't know how many points that's worth, but it's pretty terrifying.

EDIT: Some other adult things which seem way more mundane and non-freakout-causing:
Got out of bed.
Racked my wine.
Went to work.
Made dinner.
Cared for my mental health in several ways.*




*Including, but not limited to: playing Wii tennis, drinking wine, watching Star Trek, and gorging myself on popcorn all evening.

 

Network lawyer sought out my opinion on a licensing matter, even though that's not remotely my job (but I've proven more capable of understanding these things than our actual clearance person). The lawyer and producer both concurred with my assessment and went with it.

On the other hand, I worked from home in my pajamas and ate rewarmed delivery pizza for dinner.

I try to keep a yin-yang balance in my life.

 

Went to work, had a half day leave (skipping the food and booze party) so I could see my son getting some awards at his high school prizegiving, picked my youngest up from school, drove my wife to her Christmas party, took middle son to his summer football game, watched them getting beaten by a team of kids 2 years younger, talked to a former neighbour, came home and cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen, and then I sat down to watch Westworld and post this.

 

I did not order take-out food which is bad for me and which I can't really afford anyway.
Got the car home in time for my nephew to take it to class.
Gave the kid gas money.
Loafed around and drank beer.

Okay, maybe the last one isn't a +. I'm not sure what all that averages out to.

 

I just made a meal plan and corresponding shopping list and spent my Friday evening cleaning the house....how does that rank?

That's a very adulty thing.

I'm eating a few bites of pie for breakfast. If it's a sign of things to come, today is a bit of a loss.

 

I fake called in sick to work sat on the couch eating peanut butter and watched netflix.

right there with you, only i'm still in bed.

 

- I cooked a fantastic vegetarian marinara for lunch.
- I took care of a member of an invasive species that had decided to squat in my shower (Florida!)
- I talked down a rampaging youth.
- I asked for the day after Rogue One off so I can go drinking with wife and friends afterwards.

The last one doesn't count.

 

I said the word "fiscal" more than once.

 

OH MY GOD, STOP PROSELYTIZING ALREADY.

 

Went to the grocery store early and did a mid size shop instead of piece meal shopping.

 

Unclogged the toilet
Worked today
Gave my spare change to Salvation Army
Made Apple Senior Rep look unqualified by saying yes to everything he asked in their weak attempt to fix rapid battery drain (was this turned off? Uninstalled etc) on my new 7+.
Then I did not rip him a new one when the phone froze. I just told him, "you know if I didn't partially pay for this new phone with your gift cards last week, I'd be so gone. And this phone is going back."

Okay, Apple rep conversation completely nullified my adult daily points.

 

Okay I finally got off the couch, took my cat to the vet and got her vaccines. She pee'd on me but then we cuddled and all was well. Yay for a successful day of adulting.

 

My wife made me breakfast, I played on Facebook, took some bird photos off our deck,then I built some stuff with my Lego and watched Grand Tour and some other mindless tv. Wife cooked dinner. I never left the house all day.

About the only adult thing I did today was install drivers on my youngest's pc so he could use an Xbox controller to play games...
