your family calls you for directory assistance?

 

I'm torn. Do I use my Fandango gift certificate on Guardians of the Galaxy like I planned, or do I wait and use the Doctor Who S8 debut episode that's apparently going to be premiering in theaters on August 23rd?

*sighs* Decisions, decisions.

 

Said relative was at my uncle's place -no internet or phonebook there-, using a traditional (ie: not of the smartphone variety) mobile phone.

I'm with you on the absurdity of the call & request, but when I saw the name pop up via caller ID, it's not like I wasn't going to pick up the phone.

 

My lasagna was a tad too spicey.

 

I worked from home today but only managed to drive out and pick up a shipment of old sci-fi books I bought, watch 1 movie and read 1 comic book.

 

I took a nap longer than usual.

 

Our test grading only took 3 hours so it's still 15 minutes before I'm comfortable busting out the rum.

 

you can bust the rum out early when there is cause to celebrate. it's a rule.

Have some of Ramza's rum. He apparently has no use for it.

 

Now that I've actually busted out the rum there's only about 8-12 oz left.

 

Only now do I relize the stupidity of scheduling a oil change for 7 AM.

 

I rent an apartment that includes two acres of land and I don't use it. The cat does.
On that note, it seems the new landlord has been mowing the lawn for the pleasure of his dogs and my cat. Neither one of us uses the lawn.

 

I took a nap this afternoon and am still tired.

 

I bought a book. i was looking forward to reading it. Then I just found out it is book 2 so now I have to go get book 1.

 

I was underwhelmed & didn't like the "#1 moment at The Forum" that was chosen at the conclusion of a Lakers-themed countdown show I watched earlier today.

 

I don't want to see 50 Shades of Grey, but it means I'd get to see the male lead (an actor whom I adore) mostly or fully naked.

 

He's going to be fully naked and taking it in the butt. Enjoy.

 

My favorite nonstick pan has lost its nonstickness.

 

I'm calling in sick Fri so we can make a 3 day weekend of visiting family in San Antonio.
The thing is I feel it's weak that I am unable to pull it off as a 'work from home' day.

 

I'm tired of sculpting giant boobs.

 

I want an easier way to listen to vinyl records.
