JCC ITT we complain about our 1st world problems...

That dreaded purgatory you find yourself in when you wake up 10-15 minutes before your alarm goes off, and you very much do not want to get up, however, you know full well by the time you fall back asleep your alarm will go off, so you remain in this half asleep half awake state until you just get so fed up that you say **** it and finally get out of bed.

 

When a DVD seller from Hong Kong sends you the wrong order. And then I remember the 7th title this morning after emailing.

 

Kind of a superficial, teenage drama-type of FWP, but I somehow stumbled into a situation where I'm interested in one woman who's also interested in me, but who disappears for weeks or months at a time, accepted an invitation for a date with a new awesome woman (since the first one disappeared without explanation again), and just found that a friend of mine wants more than friendship all of a sudden.

All this while I'm trying to study for my endless series of tests and labs.

I should have just stayed home and played Zelda. Saving Hyrule is much simpler.

 

Midterm grades are being posted, but I'm too terrified to look.

My VCR did this little thing were it went forward an hour (because it always seems to think that DST is always 1-2 weeks before/after the actual date), and I had to manually reset it.

I'm like 95% sure they switched to it to make their suggestion algorithm better, but... yeah, kind of miss my ability to distinguish a "like" from a "love."

 

I used three stars for "meh," four for "I like it!" and five for "I want to make sweet love with this television show or film." They messed it up! Predicted ratings were also very helpful in choosing what to watch. Now it's going to be just "We think you'll like this but we won't tell you to what degree because we think you're a moron who can't grasp nuance." They could at least have one in-between rating option.

And it makes their algorithm easier for them, not for me.

EDIT: Hey, at least the disc site still has stars, though I don't expect that to last.

So this Jack of All Trades, Master of None style deli tries to be slick and charge me $10 dollars extra for a second bottle of almond milk. I handed this crook the second bottle back and my bill was suddenly $10 cheaper.This on top of the usual Pret tA Manger trying overcharge me a $1.00 for my usual order. This woman wasn't going to recheck the price until I firmly said, "Okay, I come here almost day, I suppose my patronage isn't important to you." She finally capitulated and came up with the usual price.
