One of my new roles in one of my two jobs is to call people to set up interviews. I hate calling people and would rather just text them, but I can’t do that.

 

My team just traded for an older and less reliable version of the QB we currently have. Not only that but gave the new guy the contract extension we mysteriously couldn't come up with for our present QB

*Massive headdesking*

 

Got a new fridge. Dude said it'd take 2 hours for it to get cold again but the freezer was getting colder faster so I put my almond milk in there to save it and only intended for it to stay in there for 30 minutes or so.

Oops. It's frozen solid.

 

@VadersLaMent I suppose saying "That's cold! or "Oh snap!" would be inappropriate right now?

Meanwhile, our 20 year old dryer is not fond of doing its job after one load. We literally have to wait 30-45 minutes to run it again. The appliance repairman has no explanation for this. Unless, of course, VLM's new fridge has something to do with it.

 

Probably more to do with it being a 20 year old dryer.

Update: My almond milk is back to normal.

 

I wish our dryer was.

So the daily app notification I get around this time, startles me to varying degrees depending on how awake I am. Being that I have not had my energy elixirs to keep me awake (and I will skip going in @Master_Rebado 's direction ), I almost fell out of my chair thanks to that app's alert (If I shut the notifications off, I do not open the app which I enjoy using.)

 

On my way to the gym this morning, after taking the kids to school, I was spacing out at a light and staring out my car window at nothing in particular. The window goes down in the car next to me and some guy demands to know if I like what I see (presumably referring to his girlfriend in the next seat).

Well that's a first for me.

I want to make a (G-rated) Howard Stern related reference in my cousin's 9th birthday card, but he/nobody else in the family would get it.

 

My body is awake, my brain is dozing and my eyes are pleading for sleep...but no. Have to practice job skills.
