I've never met, nor seen Idina Menzel close up. I've never seen her sing on stage before. She just wrote back to me is all.

Because I wrote her.

What does writing an actress have to do with being in the matrix?


I wrote her for about 5 months, then in December my Great Grandmother died, and so I said I'd stop writing because I was devastated at the time. Her assisitant wrote me an email saying how sorry they were and that she would be disapointed in recieving the last letter. Then I got the stuff later. I got a hat autographed by her, and a big booklet about the show with a message to me that said:

"Dear Brandon,
Thank you for all my wonderful letters. You are a great writer! And my favorite person even though we haven't met. Lots of love, Idina Menzel"

So yeah...that was in 2006.
