Nice that a little green was thrown in, if only for lighting. I am waiting for someone to take flexiable solar panels and incorproate them into a sail and have the collected energy plug into an electric engine so you get a motorcruiser fueled by the wind and Sun which would help make sailing faster.

 

We watched some show about the most expensive yachts in the world and I thought of this thread.

The guys on Mythbusters built a boat out of paper and it lasted quite a while. Don't know if it would be sea-worthy, tho.

And the Haiwaiians made boats using the dug-out canoe method. You can add a catamaran for more stability.

 

Don't be afraid to go exotic.(world record sailboat speed in just 25 kts of wind they went just shy of 60 knots).

 

Petit St. Vincent only recently reopened to public visitation. I deserve to be there.

 

Please don't forget it is easier to qualigy for hookah diving than scuba so please figure the cost into your donations.

The latter not only reminds me of the Eclipse SSD but it can go 30 knots.

While Mighty Slicer Of The Greatest Wave Created By The Gods is a fine name, my thinking behind Ma Boat is so you can have the same conversation over and over again.
