    In order to settle a rather heated debate which may end up in a double murder case, Do you (correctly) say Scon (Rhymes with con), or (like a posh country Lord) Scone (rhymes with Gnome)?

    tricky one. I used to say scone but nowadays I say either (e-ther? i-ther?)

    I always heard it as 'scone' in the US. Of course, we also say 'tomayto' instead of 'tomahto'.

    I've always said it as Scon, even if I spell it as Scone :p

    I don't know. I'm too aware of saying it one way or another to know what way I naturally say it.
