ITT We Entertain Each Other at Work

I have a fairly obnoxious job. It started out being really fun because I was the only person in my department. Then I got a promotion, 6 lackeys and a lot more paperwork to do every day. So, in this thread, I propose we keep each other from dying of boredom while making an honest (or dishonest, as the case may be) buck!

 

I have a high paid job which is extremely rewarding and actually benefits society in a good way.
I do not need to be entertained at work.

You may make the coffee if you want to help!

 

Ooh, snap! I don't make or drink coffee. You can get it for yourself if you need caffeine to get you a high.

 

I have a boring job which makes me post all the time instead of working.
If all other BBers go to sleep, I'll get bored to death

 

It's Friday night here... tossing a coin as to whether to stay here or play inFamous.

 

I can post between the following activities:
1) Figuring out what my employees mean when they ask nonsense questions
2) Mollifying all of the people who yell at me for having employees who don't make them happy
3) Mollifying all the people who have no idea how to read a legal disclaimer
4) Making inane lists
5) Answering inane questions from my boss
6) Placing a few dozen orders for the department
7) Running between my department and accounting
8) My lunch hour

 

I'll have to work Sat and Sun, too thsi week. Go me.
At least tehre won't be classes of annoying kids/teenagers around on the weekend.

 

That IS one of the things I love about my job. When I started out at the company, I was working 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 5 days a week and had to work 1 Saturday a month. Now? My department started out 9-5 M-F. We do have overnight shift now, but I don't have to ever work it and I never have to work weekends. I even get off certain holidays that my people don't. Gives me a real sense of power. That and the fact that I am now someone people go to for a professional reference.

 

I so can't wait until Spetember. With my new job I'll have all weekends and all holidays off again. Always!
Plus it'll pay more in the end. (And about the same I get now durung the studies)
9-5 M-f, here I come!

Yeah, for once I got the awesome end of a deal.
Though it means I ahve to do as much on these boards while I still can. I don't think that full-time studying would go well with playing BB for example. I could hardly be on...

Also, blessed silence here today. Only a few families.
