The way I'm reading it is that if you want to import your character into ME3, you have to have finished ME2 without dying. Though that creates the badass concept of Shepard being the sole survivor of a suicide mission, probably with a whole bunch of new companions. (Again, if you chose the right background. )

Reminds me of Chrono Trigger in that you could go and fight the final boss at any time, but unless you were awesome you weren't going to win until the end of the game. Since presumably the New Game + option still exists, I wonder if that means even more alternate endings?

 

Torchwood and Dr Who crossover all the time.

 

Dukat was a strange one. He started out quite three-dimensional, never knowing whether to trust him or not. But when he got thrown out of the Dominion club he quickly regressed to a one-dimensional super villain.

Damar was almost the exact opposite. Starting out as a one-liner sidekick to being the saviour of Cardassia.

 

I wanted to pick Firestorm but I had him last draft. I like researching and arguing for new characters.

Esp. since Firestorm wildly underperformed last draft.

EDIT: For the record, I warn my paddies to go to the YJCC unprepared. If you try posting as if it was just another of the boards here, you'll probably have an epic fail. The attitude is different and few people bother to mark a joke with an emoticon, because it seems to be understood that they're joking anyway. It takes some adjusting to, and you certainly need to be able to take some slag. *looks up slag*

And yes, LostonHoth, I do try to post regularly there. I am still not sure I get it all. Often, I just don't know what to say, and it looks as if my humour adapter got lost during shipping.

I think you are missing one point, though, harpuah.
Users that have no trouble integrating themselves into the boards don't go to WNU first place.
If they're ready for Lit/EUC/YJCC/SWC/Whatever, they'll start right there.
It's usually the more unsure and insecure users that actually start in the WNU. And that's, IMO, the target audience.
