Had a couple of beers on Sunday night (social), but that's been it. Nearly completed day 9 of no ciggies. And I've not wanted one at all today :) (Although I've got a stinking cold so that's probably part of it)

    Mixed results so far.

    18 days without a ciggy :D

But I've been enjoying a few beers in the evenings.

Two things at one time is very hard. So it doesn't mater. It's still great that you manage to stay 18 days without smoking! :D

How do you feel? Is it still getting esier day by day? :)

That's still really good. As long as you're not drinking too much. Besides, 18 days without cigarettes is really impressive. Quitting both at once must be really hard.

The smoking thing is pretty easy now. Certainly during the day, I don't have any cravings at all.

But of course, a couple of beers brings some of the cravings back, but not to the extent where I really need to fight it.

That's pretty amazing, quitting the two at once would be a killer. [:D]

Wow. That's pretty cool... Congrats on the no Cigs...

I don't think I could ever quit drinking... but, it sounds like you're doing great!

    Keep it up.

Well, I have not had one cig. since last Oct. 17, so this will make one year for me, but I still stick up for smokers though.

I could not do it cold turkey though. I used the patches. Though here is the bad part. They say use one at a time and do not smoke when using the patches. Well I could. So I started to use 2 patches per day for one week. That was almost one year ago.

So halibut, good luck and trust me I know the feeling. Though I still can see the money that I have saved. I used to smoke 2 cartons a week. That is about 3 or packs a day.

Wow! That's really much! Congrats, Oak! =D=

What have you bought for the money you saved so far? Or are you still saving it? :)

Halibut, do you have any plans for the money you save now? :D

You don't want to tell me that you saved that much money already, right? It includes the money you save for the next few months, right?

I might get slapped for this, but I still spend money like a woman in a clothing store. I love to spend,
<----Another bad habit that I need to quick.

You might get slapped for making the same post 28 minutes after you already made it :p

Good to know, Hal. Otherwise I would have worried about the amount of cigarettes or (if that amount wasn't that high) I would have asked you to order a computer for me as well. :p

Yeah. I can only imagine the extra money - my dad smokes a pack a day at about $3 a pack. I can eat lunch out for less than that.

Not had a ciggy since the start of this thread :)

And I really should change the title to remove the "drinking" part :p
