We parted on rocky terms,
How I miss your green eyes,
The way you fill out your jeans,
Your low laugh,
Your outspoken ways,
The ways you make me feel like the most beautiful lady alive.

I told you and wanted to show you,
All you meant to me.
But after our last heated discussion,
It was easier to believe you'd never want to see me again.


Now
Now, we're here together,
Gazing at one another like those in darkness
Who are seeing the light of day.
Like two who were not parted at all.
It is like no time has passed.
You smile that unforgettable smile
And ask me how I've been.
I sigh and answer I'm better, now.
I've missed everything about you, I whisper.

And I let you draw me close.
