    Yeah, Watterson says as much in the tenth anniversary book. I like to think that bit of namedropping led me to pick Hobbes as the focus for a history project back in high school, but that's a narrative imposed by hindsight.

    Anyone watch Dr. Mr Watterson. The documentary about Calvin and Hobbes with one person missing. Watterson himself, the recluse that no one gets to see whatsoever and that turned down a 300 million dollar merchandising empire to keep his integrity. Although at least he could have licensed a Hobbes stuffed tiger.

    Actually it was Dear Mr Watterson. It was a documentary about Calvin and Hobbes. If you haven't seen it and like Calvin and Hobbes, go ahead and watch it. Its good.
