In 2014 there are 77.8 million baby boomers. In 2050 there will be about 15.6 million up to age 100.

 

Ok, so the real question is at what point on that graph does Sizzler, and its buffet court, eclipse non boomer savvy also-ran corporations like Google and Apple?

The answer to that question will be settled once and for all during the "Early Bird Special" global wars of 2024.

 

I'd be more than happy to give reports from the Denny's front of that war.

 

Wait, I thought Sizzler was popular among the parents of Boomers. Or was that, like Matlock, passed on in a secret ritual from one aged generation to the next? I can't wait until it's popular among Millennials. But it'd have to be cloaked in irony.

 

I'm pretty sure there's the same amount of Sizzler's left as there are working pay phones.



With that being said, there's a location rather close to my residential dwelling; I'm not a huge fan of their salad bar, but the burgers & ribs are nice.
