Luke loved flying the Jade Sabre whenever Mara would let him. She had been touched by the intense love and thought that had gone into every single aspect of the gift. She had almost gotten misty-eyed when he said he wanted to give her some of what she'd had with the Fire. He had told her one time he'd picked the color because it would always remind him of her eyes. He was nothing but an incorrigible sentimental fool. But she loved that about him.

They spent more than one anniversary onboard, sailing to or from a hideaway, or just cloaked so they could avoid the press of daily grind. Two of their four children were conceived onboard.

It was one of the best-kept secrets that Luke had had it refinished on their 30th wedding anniversary, almost as much of one as the original gift

Mara tried to scowl at the implication that her beloved ship needed anything, but Luke saw through her. He threatened to tickle her until she caved.

Mara had the last "word" by tackling him instead, tickling him instead as she planted a heated kiss on him for good measure as they collapsed onto the bed in the captain's cabin in a tangled embrace.

"Yes," She breathed, "I'm just getting comfortable."
