Jag Haters United: Reasons to Hate Jag and few( if i can find any) to like the dude!

Why does everyone hate Jag? It seems they do except a few. I know i do. For me it's something about wanting Jaina to be in love with Zekk instead. Comments anyone?

Jag is a poor man's Zekk. Zekk has longer hair, no prominent facial scar and a personality that's not defined as 'Jaina's boyfriend'.

Seriously, that's his entire reaosn for being. He's Jaina's boyfriend. Without that, he's nothing.

I have to agree with the crestfallen one.

Even the slight detriment of not being a Force-sensitive is more than made up for by Jag's parentage and relatives.

By themselves, Zekk owns Jag. Heck, her pwns captain cardboard.

 

these character-love/hate threads are so bizarre to me. i like jag. i like zekk. i don't mind if jaina chooses one or the other, or neither of them, so long as it is written well.

 

Indeed. Reminds me of the Han/Bria threads. But we all geek out over different things here....

If Jaina and Jag are happy w/ each other, they should be together.

Seriously. I like Jag. I've always liked the stoic cool guy. Zekk seems like a punk. He was Jaina's first boyfriend. Jag is her first really serious relationship.

 

We have to consider that these are fictional characters whose relationships are only affected by the decisions of editors and authors. The only person "perfect" for a character is the person the authors/editors consider "perfect" for the character.

 

i like jag. let's not forget that a persentage of his pie chart lineage contains a wedge of... wedge!

 

To me, Jag is just a slightly altered clone of Zekk created by DR and LFL.

Think about it. Both Zekk and Jag:

- Have black hair and green eyes
- Are described as "wiry" in build
- Are both pilots
- Are the same age

The only differences are:

- Jag has a scar, which I think is supposed to make him sound cool.
- Jag has an Imperial Baron located in Chiss space for a father, and a former actress who happens to be Wedge's sister for a mother; another attempt to make him sound cool.
- Jag doesn't have access to the Force.
- Zekk is an orphan, and his only "family" is old Peckhum, who may or may not escaped the fall of Coruscant.
- Zekk is a former Dark Sider, and the one who brought him back now ignores him for the clone with no personality.
- Zekk has a personality.

 

I can safely say that Zekk is the only character in the EU that I hate with a passion*.

Jag, on the other hand, is seriously cool.

*Not including those who we're meant to hate.

So lemme see if I understand. The Stonic guy wins over the guy who can actually sympathize with Jaina? Kriff?

It amazes me, even the people who claim to love Jag for who he is, they usually give him a personality if they write him into a fanfic!!! An artificial one at that!

But other then that I don't really mind Jag. He makes for a good fighter. But... um... still? Bland.

 

jag does have a personality, he has a similar personality to stoic britsh people who don't were there emontions on their sleave much,and don't just reacte with emotion and and fellings all the time like some chacters(ie kyp though he is getting better about that).

besides kyp,jaina,jacen and mara alone ate up the personality bugdet issued by LFL they couldn't give jag a flambount personality .

I don't know; the title of the thread doesn't seem _that_ exclusive.

Plus, if it were to be exclusive, I suspect the title should be more pro-active, like: "Jag Haters Unite!" (not united). FWIW, of course.
