Jaina & Lowbacca, sittin' in a tree.... (minor DJ spoilers, maybe)

Everyone seems to think that Jaina will hook up with either Jag Fel or Kyp Durron - but it's pretty obvious to me that she'll actually end up with Lowbacca. C'mon, look at it: they've been friends for years. They both love tinkering with starships and stuff, though Jaina's more the pilot and Lowie's more the mechanic. Han & Chewie were best buds, so it makes sense that Jaina and Lowie would have a close connection as well. In that relationship, as it turns out, the Solo was the pilot and the Wookie was the mechanic. Coincidence? I think not. It wouldn't be the first occurance of an inter-species romance in SW, either - it happened in the X-Wing books. Don't tell me you can't see it coming a mile away. It'll happen in HC #5, I can almost guarantee.

I absolutely love Jaina and Lowie's relationship. I think its hilarious, just like Han and Chewie during the movies. It makes me laugh out loud sometimes.

How about Gaven and Asyr? Rhysati and Nawara? It IS possible for a human to have a relationship with a non-human.

Though I personally think it won't happen.

He reflected on Chewie telling him humans are wierd, and he figured he had to agree with him. Thinking her weird sounds more like intrest in romantic areas not there. Besides, she'd be too gooey in bed.

heheh, thanks, DL. I don't think I post enough to be considered a troll. I'm here pretty much every day except when I'm home on semester breaks and my internet time is severely limited, but I guess I just don't always have a lot to say that other people haven't already said.

Anyway, back on topic. I wasn't really considering the, ah, mechanics of such a relationship - rather, the circumstances and emotional underpinnings that will eventually bring these two fated Jedi together in a romance to end all EU romances.

I may have been wrong about Judith Krantz writing the AotC novelization before, but she'd probably do a great job with this one.

 

That seems like an odd idea, but odder things have happened.

Personally, though, I would put my money on her and Jag. If you look at their relationship and Han and Leia's, there's a parallel there that is obvious IMO, just with the roles reversed.

 

Although this topic is probably meant to amuse more than anything else, I too found myself smiling when I read the scenes between Jaina and Lowie when they were on The Trickster. They totally reminded me of vintage Han and Chewie, and I think the scenes we see in DJ are an obvious foreshadoing of things to come.
