Sorry if I'm missing some villians, or movies.

My favorite actor that portrayed Bond would have to be Roger Moore! He did such a great job with Bond as well as the other actors, but Mr. Moore just appealed to me more than any other of the Bonds.

My favorite movie would have to be Goldfinger, I think. I haven't seen every bond movie but, from the many that I have seen I like Goldfinger the best. I don't know what it is about this movie, maybe it's the cheesy effects or the fight with Oddjob at the end, but I like it the best so far.

My favorite Villian would have to be Jaws! What's not to like about Jaws, he's tall, he has metal teeth and he's evil. There is just a certian appeal that Jaws has on me I don't know what it is but Jaws is awsome!

While I don't think he's the best Bond villian, I like Trevelyan from Goldeneye. The concept of a rogue Double-O agent is very interesting, and something I think they could use again without being derivative of themselves. The intelligence community is such a tenuous place, with people's loyalties being bought and sold all the time, it wouldn't be surprising to see another British agent defect.

Interesting that someone would say OHMSS is their favorite Bond. Watching it lately with a critical eye, I have come to the conclusion that it is a much underrated Bond. The music is excellent (the only opening theme that was an instrumental). And Lazenby did not do a bad job. Looking back now I can't see Connery pulling that particular one off.

I liked the first two Moore outings. "Man With the Golden Gun" Which all us Star Wars fans should note for the villian Scaramanga, and "Live and Let Die". After that Moore seemed to slip too much into camp and cheese.

There should be a category for: Best Idea for a Villain That Was Not Handled To it's Full Potential"
For me that would have to be the guy from "The World is Not Enough" (Still a very good Bond, with one of the better opening Themes.) Come on a guy with a bullet in his head who has no feeling. The things they could have done with him!

I'll miss Pierce after this next Bond which will probably be his last. However with the next Bond the producers should take a page from the Dr. Who book. Obviously Bond is very recognizable to those he has to deal with. We should see Pierce go through facial reconstruction and become the next Bond.

Bond: Pierce Brosnan (come on, someone had to vote for him ;))

Movie: 'Goldeneye' (if only for the tank-chase)

    Villain: Alec Trevelyan (006)

Personally, I'm waiting for Sean Connery to make a cameo in the next Bond film as 008 (the most oft-mentioned 00-agent other than Bond himself, whom has never been shown, by the way).

Favorite Bond: Roger Moore. It might be a stupid reason, but since he was the first Bond I saw, he will always be Bond for me. That doesn't mean I don't think most of the other gentlemen did a great job, because with the exception of Dalton I think they were marvelous. Just not as cool as Roger Moore, who had, to me, the perfect combination of charm, humor and edge.

Favorite Bond Movie: Once again, I am going with the first one I saw, For Your Eyes Only. I saw the movie when I was about ten years old, and it blew me away. This is the one that got me hooked on Bond and it's still my favorite.

Favorite Bond Girl: I know this wasn't one of the original questions, but a lot of people have been putting it in there anyway, and hell, who doesn't have a favorite Bond girl. Mine's Tanya Roberts in A View to a Kill. I know it's not the best movie, but she's just so damn hot! :D

Favorite Bond Villian: Gotta be Jaws. I thought about going with Max Zorin, since I think Chris Walken is great, but Jaws is just too cool, even if he did kinda renounce being a bad guy at the end of Moonraker.

Man! I just met David Hedison at a film festival. He's very nice. For those who don't know Hedison played the unfortunate scientist in the original Return of the Fly. He was also one of the regulars on the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I already knew all that when I went, what I didn't know is that Hedison is also Felix Leiter, Bonds unfortunate friend from "License To Kill" That was a shock. In LtK he in fact returning to the role; he was also the Felix in another Bond (I can't remember which).

Man I love Nostaglia cons. Heck, I even met the guy who does the voice of Gumby. What a weekend!

Hedison was also in "Live and Let Die". He's the only Felix to be in two movies.

I miss having Felix show up in Bond movies, but not having him in the Brosnan Bonds at least does more to distance these new crappy pseudo-Bonds from the real ones.

I think with Die Another Day, we've gone pretty far into XXX territory.

Hmm... Coming from a HUGE Bond fan, here are my favorites:

    --Movie: Goldfinger (The ultimate Bond!)
--Bond Actor: Sean Connery (The one and only James Bond)
--Villain: Auric Goldfinger and Oddjob (They are the coolest)
--Bond Girl: Hmm...tough to narrow it down. I'll think about it and post later.

(Note: - You left out the first actor to portray James Bond on film... Barry Nelson in 1954. A TV show called "Climax!" had an hour-long episode entitled "Casino Royale". I've got it on VHS and DVD. :D )

Well being as how im old.....

But there is only one bond and that is Sean Connery. No other actor portrays bond as true to the books as he does. if you read the books and watch the movies it is no contest

herein lies the wierd part. the actual best bond movie is On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Besdies a somewhat believable plot it had everything a bond movie should have: romance, sex, humour, action and suspense as well as the best music a bond movie has seen. Bond also had a human side in it which you dont see in any other movie. i am actually glad i didnt see Connery do it because i think it would interfere with his bond, showing emotions and all.

    Best villain------goldfinger

Oh, no way. Connery was obviously, a great Bond, but Timothy Dalton played Ian Fleming's Bond perfectly. In the novels he was always much more of a headcase than Connery played him.

While Connery is always considered the best, I think it's fairly widely acknowledged that Dalton hit it closest to the mark in terms of what the novels portray. He read all of them before filming The Living Daylights.

So what's everyone's favorite Fleming Bond title? I like OHMSS, or You Only Live Twice. The short stories were always good, too. I only wish they had used Fleming's story for You Only Live Twice as the basis for the film....

As for my "Favorite Bond Girl" from my last post... I'd have to narrow it down to either Honey Ryder (Dr. No), Jill Masterson (the `golden girl` from Goldfinger), or the young and beautiful Jane Seymour as Solitaire [face_love] (Live And Let Die). Although, Miranda Frost from Die Another Day was pretty nice too. I'd take her (Rosamond Pike) over Halle Berry any day!

I do have to admit, George Lazenby did a pretty decent job in OHMSS. I like that movie a lot. It's certainly one of the better Bonds.

Well as a huge Bond fanatic... I just had to jump in on this thread.

By far the best Bond is Connery, with Dalton being a close second (Dalton's portrayal is easily the closest to Fleming's Bond). Like Brosnan, really like Lazenby (would have grown into the role)... and despised Moore with the exception of TSWLM, FYEO, and Octopussy (Moore's films are too cartoony for my tastes).

Favorite Bond Film: From Russia with Love (closest adaptation), followed by OHMSS, then Goldfinger, and FYEO.

Favorite Bond Girl: Tatiana Romanova (From Russia With Love), then Kara Milove (Living Daylights), then Tracey (OHMSS)

Favorite Bond Villain: Goldfinger, then Red Grant (Robert Shaw in From Russia With Love even though he's more of a henchman than an actual villain), then Emilio Largo (Klaus Maria Brandauer) in Never Say Never Again.

Favorite Bond Sidekick (aka Sacrificial Lamb): Karim Bey (From Russia With Love)

    Anyway, just some thoughts

    Yancy (aka Gallandro)

I have to say I do like Dalton. I think he unfortunately had some of the worst scripts and villians to deal with. I'll have to watch his movies again before I have a definate opinion. I'm glad ppl are giving George Lazenby his due with OHMSS. It also had the great ending song from Louis Armstrong, a song I have yet to find on any of his complilations. "All the Time in the World".

You're right, that Dalton comes very close to the Ian Fleming Bond, but there is that one scene in Dr. No where Connery shoots the guy after telling him what type gun he had and how many bullets he'd fired. No other Bond has been that ruthless.

Brosnan shot an unarmed Electra King in cold blood.

    Bond "I never miss." :D

Plus Moore shot Stromberg 4 times. Twice in the groin and twice in the chest. Ouch.
