Jango's outfit

I was watching the second chapter of the Clone Wars cartoon and I noticed that the ARC Trooper helmet included that little antenna thing on the right side, the same as Jango and Boba have in the movies.

This made me wonder, did the Kaminoans copy or let Jango help design the Clone trooper armer, or did the Kaminoans provide Jango with his outfit as part of his pay?

I guess I just want to know what came first, the chicken or the egg!?

 

Good question, but I really believe its just a coincidence, because antennaes are used for recieving/outputing signals, of which both Jango Fett and the ARC Troopers would need to do.

 

I agree with that assumption. It probably is a coincedence.However, it is a valid question.

 

I was just curious because the helmets are so similar between the Clones and Jango.

 

Interesting question. But if one is talking about the Clones in particular, there's no chicken nor an egg!

Seriously though, since the Clones template came from Jango, and being a bounty hunter, the outfit was already Jango's to begin with. Therefore, I believe the Kaminoans copied Jango.

Except for the "fin" on top of the Clone trooper helmets, that was pure Kaminoan

 

Well of course! Lama Su had to add a his fin to the design.

 

If you go by the EU Jango had his armor well before the clone job. See the 'Jango Fett: Open Seasons' comics for more information in that area. It doesn't give any information on the clone armor, however.

 

The clonetrooper armor was inspired by Jango's armor.

Well knowing the armor helps. That think on the helmet just like Jango and Boba is a range finder, night vision, ext. So it was propable something that was added to the arc trooper gear as they are like the special forces of the Clone troops. Just my opinion.

Jango helped design the clone troopers armor,and even helped train groups of them for combat.

Jango did have his armor before the Clones were around so the Kaminoans didn't make his armor. The rangefinder is probably on the ARC troopers since they are the top notch clones and get all the extras.

Digressing....

In the Open Seasons Comic, Jango's armor was green just like the other Mandalorians. I'm a tad bit curious how he got it to be silver and blue. He couldn'tve painted it. Maybe he build his own suit.
