One of my gifts to Tracy this year was the Avalon Hill board game, The Queen's Gambit. This is a board game from Avalon Hill, the folks that make Axis & Allies.

Would anyone be interested in getting together on Fanday to play with us?

Hmm, it's a friday, that's good, I could probably make it as long as you're not starting too early.

Okay, the place is here in our humble abode in Miss.
The day and time is Saturday the 20th, starting 'bout 2pm.
Please let me know if you'll be coming me or email/private message me if you need directions.

It's a SW game day, so bring along with you your Star Wars related board games, card games and trivia books. Those of you interested in playing the Queen's Gambit, let me know and I'll send you the instructions in advance.

Oh, btw, we've decided to make it a high stakes game of QG. The losers must play five successive games of the Jar Jar Binks board game.

I can probably dig up the directions I had for the last time I came out that way, and do send along the rules for QG, I don't know if I'll be playing for sure, I'd like to give them a look first.

God help those that lose QG... the Jar Jar Binks board game is a reality. You should be able to pick one up at your local Zellers for about five bucks - though why anyone would want to do that is beyond me.

Fanday is typically the 19th, but to make things easy all 'round, we're holding it on the 20th which is a Saturday.

It will be at our place out in Mississauga starting at 2:30ish, so if you need directions, email or private message me.

Well, looks like there's a good chance that I'll be there with my special female friend in tow (or maybe it's the other way :)

Do we have a list of game that will be there?

Does anyone have a copy of that original Star Wars: Escape from the Deathstar? That would be cool to play again (must have gone through at least 3 copies as a kid :)

Nina has the Death Star Game. She's bringing it. If there's a game you want to play, feel free to bring it along. Say hi to Tara for me.

    The Queen's Gambit rocks.
The four person game appears to be a little weighted in favour of the Naboo, but there were a couple times that were close. Like the time that Anakin shut down the control ship, but Darth Maul managed to kill both Jedi and went on a rampage throughout the palace killing all the guards. Or the time that the entire Gungan army was stomped on by the Trade Federation and only by a strange fluke Anakin managed to swing past several groups of fighters (I guess going left and spinning works afterall).

Yeah, it was quite humerous to watch Maul get picked off by a couple of measly Palace guards :)

So what if he chewed through Qui Gon, and slaughtered Obi Wan! They ain't got nothing on our Palace guards! Ha, and they only cost a few wupi wupi's! And never mind finding out that Panaka was the Real Queen! What a shock that was.

    :)
