New boards? Let's put another shrimp on the barbie!

The poster formerly known as Saul Goodman here, bringing you this season's Arena Fantasy Football thread.

Our draft already took place while on the temp boards, but even if you're in another league you should feel free to talk trash, talk news, talk about your stupid RB taking a knee at the goal line, etc.

The Arena draft results are below just to remind everyone...and of course provide easy access for later lol's.

SO GET YOUR TOWELS READY, IT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN

My teams is giving me warm fuzzy feelings.

Or that could be from gazing at Aaron Rodgers. But either way, I like it.

Hm, that recap function on the League finals results is actually rather amusing, even if it's just as manufactured as Madden game recaps.

have we always had to go through the freaking waivers process anytime we want to pick someone up from the FA pool? because i've had to do that with everyone i've done anything with, and i know that most of them have not been released by another team.

I set the waiver period only from game time until Tuesday-- i.e. every player goes onto waivers once their game starts, and doesn't come off until after that week's Monday night game. This way if someone is having a monster game, you can't just swoop in and pick him up while he's in the middle of it. Rather than it being a race to see who can log in and click "Add" the fastest, adding new players right after they've played is determined by making a waiver claim-- which, with rolling waiver priority, adds more strategy too.

After the waiver period though, it's a free-for-all until the games start-- you can add anyone you like right now, for example, provided they haven't just been dropped from a team.

That makes sense, right? It made sense when I made it, but I'm also the guy with the Dumb & Dumber icon.

well... everyone i've tried to add has been put onto waivers. and i did try to add two after the tuesday time, one had been dropped, the other one hadn't. so... dunno if it's actually set right or not. and it's still waivers til the 15th.

    EDIT

although one of them DID go through today. but it had been required to wait til the 15th when i initially tried to do it.

Hmm, I'm not seeing any problem. You added 3 players during the waiver period-- all of which went through after Tuesday (when waivers are processed by Yahoo), and then added another 2, neither of whom had been dropped, from the Free Agent pool later Wed evening.

What one did you have go through today? I'm not seeing any activity for today (the 13th), and a glance at the players page shows that waivers are not still on-- everyone is a Free Agent, available for immediate pickup, save for those who have been recently released.

Since waivers, player add/drops, etc. are handled by Yahoo-- and the Game Time-to-Tuesday setting is default for their public leagues-- I doubt it's a problem with the system, but if it is I'll definitely contact them and we'll get it fixed!

it was the dennis pitta pickup that WAS originally on waivers, even though i tried to pick him up yesterday. and you're right, it was yesterday. that one is fixed now, but it was originally not going to go through until the 15th.

Hmm, well let's keep an eye on it, but I don't think it'll be an issue going forward.

In the meantime....GREEN BAY'S D! Outscoring Aaron Rodgers as I face him this week. Sorry I couldn't draft you this year Aaron, thanks for still helping me out buddy.
