I'm not sure if this is the right thread or not, but Night told me to talk to you guys about this idea we are trying to get underway.

What we want to do is start a tourney for FanForce. Each Region would play in Regional qualifiers then the top teams from each Region would move onto the finals to fight for the Championship. Night already gave me the go ahead to use the server, but he told me to ask when you guys don't use it? We would need several nights a week to do this over a month time period. Are there specific nights you all play? And if so when are the times that wold be best to do this?

We don't play much during the weekdays, we play quite a bit on Friday and Saturday nights, with random games occuring throughout the weekend.

I'm assuming you'll want the server passworded while the tourney occurs?

You know Joel called us out at the same time, thus it means that it's going to be a 2vs1 against Joel. We can't lose that!

 

Hey, I'll join. But I got one problem, I just got cable yesterday, and it's speed is rather erratic (it hovers in the 200k-700k range). When I play multiplayer, my ping is always highest, even with local servers. Is it because my cable speed is always shifting?

 

Probally, I've always got that aswell

My ping's usually in the 300-400 range.

 

So you have cable and you get that too?

 

Yeah, but it's not as bad as it could be. I know a guy who gets around 600 sometimes on 56k

We're the lucky ones

 

One more thing, I allow downloads on multiplayer, would that affect my ping too?

I joined because I know that forum clans of any kind are always very casual Not being as strict or demanding as other clans, so I decided to give this one a try

 

Competitive JO is all but dead, anyway. I hope JA has a better competitive scene.
