Mendenhall bailed me out this week. I knew I hung on to him for a reason.

Grrrr....I've hit Vin's team during a week where my two biggest point getters are on a bye. This is not going to be fun.

Plus, I don't exactly want my backup QB (Collins) to have a good week against my undefeated Colts. :(

so, anyone worried about teh ghosteseses going into the playoffs?:p

assuming i make it in that is, but i like my chances quite a bit since i'm the second highest scoring team in our league. given my draft that right there is utterly amazing.

So, uh, who's the genius who set it up so that only 4 teams out of 14 actually make the playoffs?

i've never seen one that did it in a different way, considering the playoffs are only two weeks long...

on a different note, i'm curious whose gonna win the secondary plyaoffs honestly.

Is that really how we did it last year?

The other leagues I've been in had a 3-week playoff system (NFL weeks 14-16). You can have 8 teams make the playoffs and the rest in a consolation bracket.

yea, it's the exact same as how we did it last year.

and personally, not relying on week 17 is NOT a bad thing to me in the least. pretty much the team you've been running with all year can be absolutely worthless. for instance, i would not want to be using peyton or any of the colts starters during the playoffs. don't know about you...

    so... *shrugs*

Exactly, which is why nobody uses week 17 for anything. But you can still have your Super Bowl in week 16 and have 8 playoff teams if you start the playoffs in week 14.

I think that makes it even more fun though. If you have a crappy team and you make the #8 seed, you could potentially play spoiler and get to the championship game anyway. Or you could be the runner up in the consolation bowl. :p

A couple weeks ago, I thought I was done, but I've gotten to a point where if I can win out, and get a little help, I think I can get into the main playoffs.

while i've not guaranteed a spot yet, i THINK this week'll do it for me. i'm up by nearly 60 and still have ray rice on monday along with the ravens'kicker, so i should be in. nice to control your own destiny, so far as win/loss goes even though i don't really control how teams/players actually do.
