[JCC] Inappropriately locked thread

I don't care whether the newer thread stays open or not. Either way barry's thread should remain open.

So... where's nashira in all of this? Or hell, ANY JCC mod or ANY Administrator, for that matter.

It was an active thread. The other one wasnt. The other one wasnt. When a thread is redundant, it is because there is another thread that has been used recently on the same topic. In this case, the old thread hadnt been used since before you even registerd here at the time I posted mine.

Sice its a clasic thread, why not make a sticky topic of classic threads and list all of them in it.(for the JCC, anyway)

I concur with Jeff 42. I don't mind the other thread. I just want the barry thread to live on and not be pruned because it's locked and can't be saved.

A fine suggestion. And I'd hope that they'd all be non-locked so that people could participate in them should they choose, too.

I've sent nashira a Private Message explaining the situation and asking her to drop by this thread. Hopefully she'll contribute and clear this all up.

EDIT: Incidently, this isn't the first time a newbie mod has locked a classic thread. I forget who it was, but 6months-1year ago someone locked a classic Chy thread.

 

And no, it wasnt a lot of energy for me, I always lurk in comms incase someone posts good icons in teh icon thread

I've always been in favor of letting newer threads go in favor of older threads, but always with classic threads as an exception. Chyren threads, ObiWannaCracker's "Prisoner Transfer from Cell Post 1138 ...", and other similar threads. What's also curious is that the Hot or Not thread, which was upped at the same time as barry's thread, wasn't locked, even though it's just as redundant, but also a (not quite as) classic (as barry's) thread.
