[JCC]New social threads in the JC

There appears to be a Dallas FF, but it looks like it's in need of some new blood and sparkle - you could be just the guy to do it

There is some overlap between the fecal force and the knights, but not as much as you think. Most of the knghts originated in 3sa. I would bet that there is an equal number of people in the knights who are not in the fecal force as there are knights in it. Also not every fecal force member is a knight. The fecal force also a a theme, even if it is a crappy one. That theme differs from the pure socialisation of the knights.

I don't think the knigts should get special treatment, but i do think snowball has a right to be concerned about the future of the knights after the 3sa is shut down. Since the 3sa is going to be open for a few months, I don't think it's a pressing matter, but i do think that it does need to be adressed when the time comes.

After 3sa is closed i don't see why the knights shouldn't be allowed to move. Since the knights originated in the movie forums perhaps there will be a place for them there if there isn't one in the jcc, but they be aloud to continue on some where.

Like i said before, I really don't think the knights should get special treatment, but i do feel that their group should be allowed to move AFTER 3sa closes. Since there is a president for that, that's not special treatment.

I don't see how they are, really. They're a group and they shoul get their own thread. All the Hayden fans get their own thread.

Hey, how did the Sith Army get a group thread? That was created after the 1 month rule.

 

All of those threads were created before the 1 per month rule was implamented. The Knights of the jcc thread was started after that.

The knights of the 3sa was around, in 3sa, for a while. This is the basis of why i think the knights should be allowed to have there own thread some where after 3sa is shut down. The same thing happened with BYS after 2sa was closed. They orignated in 2sa, but they were aloud to move into the jcc after 2sa was shut down.

If you read the first post in this thread, which is my suggestion to modify the current policy, you'll see that under my proposed rules, the knights of the jcc would've been alound to continue as long as it remained fairly active.

just take out the bar fight thread and replace it with 3SA Knights. Who'll miss it?

Just so everyone knows, the Dark Lords aren't a "helpy helper" group anymore. They ditched the rules I wrote for them back in '01 when they moved most of their spam/discussion off-board to the last phpbb. I think they more or less "maintain" their JCC social thread as a link to draw JC members to their new board and that's about it. They don't report trolls or anything anymore, that's the reason the Sith Shadow Army popped up a little while ago (or so I'm led to believe).

Maybe, since the DL's have strayed so far from their roots and really have little real interaction with the JCC forum at all anymore, their thread should be shut and the permanent social thread status given over to the Sarcasm Knights, who at least bring a sense of community interaction to a Community board?

Have you been watching each individual DL and their posting habits in the JCC? I'm not just talking about our thread, but the whole forum itself.
