Jedi Academy: General Discussion

i am gonna be the rodian.

 

My only question is how there could be more dark jedi or "cultist".

But from some of the pics (especially the one Jeff 42 provided) they look like ninjas. Cool.

The reborn looked like Ninjas, too. IMO.

 

Here was my original idea for an expansion pack:

Play as Luke Skywalker and his trip to the Valley of the Jedi. Discover the plot of Desann and force them to leave. Call in Rogue Squadron to clean them up.

As long as there are lots of good jedi, the potential is there for a Dark Jedi to be "born". Since it looks like we'll be facing lots of reborn \ shadowtrooper types again, maybe they'll use a cloning storyline - especially after AOTC. I don't know if they'll feature the Valley of the Jedi yet again in this one. Cloned Dark Jedi seems like a better option this time.

As far as the mention of another sequel with Kyle as main character, I think that was more of the programmer's personal wish than an official statement that it's in the works. Doesn't mean it won't happen (and it would be cool if it does, especially with a new engine) but it's still just one person's thoughts.

 

I think you're right (if you are refering to my post). That's how I see it also. But I just posted it for those people that fear we've seen the last of Kyle. There still is hope for another Kyle-based Dark Forces game...

And LOL at your comment on the page title! I guess you're right on the name change thing. IMO, Jedi Academy sounds much better than A Jedi's Legacy (plus it keeps with tradition of the other titles in the series).

 

No mention of multiplayer yet...

 

PC and Xbox only...
This is bad for me as I am not a PC gamer and I dont have an Xbox.

Ill just have to pick up a 'box just for Academy and Halo. Hope there's Xobox live support this time.

 

All I've got is a gamecube (computer is too small). What's in this for me???

JK2 was ported to both. Why not this? I'm quite angry.

 

The console ports for JO were announced quite some time after the PC version. So don't fret. There's still a chance for a GC version in the future, but it won't be worked on until the xbox/PC version is finished, as it'll be a port job by a 3rd party, most likely.

 

example: Halo being converted to the PC. However, its coming out several years after the initial x-box release.
