Another Portlander checking in here. I kind of like how Fanforce has been combined with the JC. Now I don't have to go two seperate places to chat with my fellow fans.

I'm not a Portlander, though I used to be. I'm now living in Northern California, but hey, I'm still an Oregonian at heart!

I was a theatre manager for Regal Cinemas when Episode I came out. I helped the manager at Eastgate with the projection screening. They had the best screen & sound system for it.

I'm sitting in Troutdale right now.

Word? Which cinema? I used to work for Regal, back when they were still ACT III and up until they got bought. I was the projectionist at Keizer Cinemas.

The Eastgate was off the hook that night, although the DTS (I think it was DTS) cut out a couple times during the podrace. The biggest thing I remember, beside the movie, was huddling up around the newsvan and watching their monitors feed for the Blazer game. And they lost. Of course.

    Peace,
    Fatboy

I was at Eastgate for the 9 AM showing. I couldn't get tickets for the midnight cause I had to work. The sound cut out during the podrace for that showing, too. It was fine for subsequent showings, so I guess they got it fixed somehow.

Oh, and I live in Clackamas.

I saw TPM at midnight at the Hilltop 9 theatre in Oregon City. Surprisingly, there were still a few tickets left after all the lines for tickets had dissapeared. I recognized a lot of people there, and we had a great time!

Yoda: I ended up staying at my friends (who lived right off of Harmony Rd.) house and catching the 9 oclock, too..Then I went home and took my friends to the showing in Salem. I saw the movie like, 3 times in the space of 18 hours or something like that.

Yo, wasn't there like a huge rush or something at 9, where people started just runnin for the doors regardless of their place in line? I remember something like that.

Didn't the Eastgate line get some national coverage? I know KGW and KOIN was there, but I heard CBS news had a shot of the midnight line, too.

    Peace,
    Fatboy
