ok i know it by heart- im obsessed with being a jedi- i actually tried to use the force to turn on my radio a couple times and stuff- ok here goes

there is no emotion, there is peace
there is no ignorance, there is knowlege,
there is no passion, there is serenity,
there is no death, there is the force

oh and i also foud a "dark jedi code" enjoy-
there is no peace, there is anger
there is no fear, there is power
there is no death, there is immortality
there is no weakness, there is the dark side

and here is the sith code taken from darth maul shadow hunter
there is no pain where strenghth lies,
what is done in secret has great power,
anger is a living thing. feed it and it will grow

thank you thank you very much
    adios amigos

    *applauds* Why thank you, Jaster.

I don't know why, but I thought it would be longer.

If there is no emotion, then why does Obi One say "I hate it when he does that" when Ani jumps out of the speeder?

yes reble dawn you are correct it can be longer- there is a long version and a short version- the short version, which i gave to you, is a code of ethics that are kind of like a jedis beliefs- the longer version portrays what the jedi are to do here it is

Jedi are the gurdians of peace in the galaxy,
Jedi use their powers to defent and protect, never to attack others,
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.
there is no emotion, there is peace,
there is no ignorance, only knowlege,
there is no passsion, there is serenity,
there is no death, there is the force

ok to answer jediDave's question- in episode II when obi-wan, mace, and yoda are walking through the temple obi-wan says his skills have made annikin arrogen, basicly saying he thinks he is above the rules. then yoda says that is a flaw more commen among jedi, even in the wiser, more experienced ones- then he throws a look at obi wan- prehaps obi-wan, being trained by qui-gon "the mavirick" jinn is above the rules and does not know it thats why he doesnt seem to follow the code sometimes

here is an extendeed version of the sith code that includes the dark jedi code as well-

i dug up the entire sith code similar to that of the extended jedi code

There is no fear, there is power.
There is no death, there is immortality.
There is no weakness, there is the Dark Side.
I am the Heart of Darkness.
    I know no fear,
But rather I instill it in my enemies.
I am the destoyer of worlds.
I know the power of the Dark Side.
I am the fire of hate.
All the Universe bows before me.
I pledge myself to the Darkness.
For I have found true life,
In the death of the light.
There is no pain where strength lies,
what is done in secret has great power.
Anger is a living thing, feed it and it will grow

    adios

Exactly. I'm not quite sure what online Jedi religion you're talking about though.

According to Brenden over on the Temple Library Thread, the Code first appeared in the old West End RPG. When the Jedi Apprentice books (Obi's apprenticeship to Qui) started getting published(and in other EU books, too), the code was even more explicited spelled out
Its less a 'prayer' than it is a code of behavior. As in: Here is how a Jedi is supposed to behave.

Although, they do make a good meditation mantra. And that bit about serentity can help when chanted silently while dealing with 34 10th graders . . . :D

Oh, and the look that Yoda gives Obi when commenting about arrogance being a trait found even in the older, more experienced Jedi. Yeah, it might have been a bit of a jab at Qui, but I think it was also a bit of a jab at Obi, who took a 'dangerous' kid full of anger as his apprentice against the advice of the council, against his own (obi's) earlier opinion about the kid, just because his master asked him to do it . . .
