I hope everyone had a very enjoyable May but it's now time to get on with June and our activity this month.

Our activity will be on Saturday June 25. I'm thinking around 4 o'clock at Sugarhouse park and we will be playing the ever popular and famous interactive Star Wars Clue game. If you don't know what that is, well come to the activity to find out.

I'll try to make it. Don't know if I have anything planned that day or not. I doubt if I will actually play, as I am notoriously bad at Clue. But it'll be fun to hang.

 

It's ok Geoff...I don't think being good at Clue really even helps in this game.

I'll bring the sunscreen. Heaven knows we don't want any repeats of what happened the first time we played this game!

 

Oh, I don't know about that, Erin. I'm really bad at Clue. Any version. In fact, I've never, ever won a game of Clue.

 

Good. That will make my winning the game all that much easier.

Yes yes yes its me kita pounce and I have returned. I actually might be able to come to this activity!! And tons of people better show up because I would love to get to see everyone and meet new people and have a blast!!

 

The items I need for the clue game are:
Double bladded lightsaber
and a single blade lightsaber


Also, come up with a character you wish to put down on your card.

 

I have both of those sabers and can bring them.
I'd like to have Mara Jade be on my card (big surprise there!)

Don't tell me who you're going to be. I'm just saying that you'll have to come up with a character to place on your own cards. After all, anyone's artwork is better than mine.

For those of you who have never played interactive clue before you're in for a treat.

Here's a simplified version of how it works.

I set up a scaled version of the clue board, the rooms are divided up and labled like the clue board game, only with a Star Wars reference instead.

You become a player and you have your own card that you will be drawing yourself. Then there will be dice that you will be 'rolling'.

Then you play the game like you normally do with clue, you'll be moving from room to room to try and solve who did it, but if someone thinks you are the killer you have to go to that room. Yeah, kind of sucks at times but it makes it so much more fun.

It is a blast. But I have conflicting plans for that day. Darn it.

If you want, I can make up the cards on my puter
I have been itching for a reason to play with my photoshop again and this would be perfect! I can print them up on big half sheets of card stock, I can do all the rooms and weapons and all that if you would like.
My design bug has been itching lately....

 

Yay! That was my first activity with everyone. Has it really been a year already?

I'd like to. Of course I've wanted to come to all of them since Halloween. Stuff just keeps happening. But that's what stuff does right?

I'll make a conserted effort for this though.

 

Sounds like fun, I'll be there and unlike Geoff, I have fond memories of playing Cludo (as we call it back home).

I believe this is one of the best activities in Fanforce history and if you're unable to make it, I hope you are able to make it to our other activites we have.

Just bumping this thread up to remind everyone about Saturday.

I want to thank Erin for bringing some of the weapons for the use of the game, it wouldn't be happening without you.

I think someone mentioned they were bringing water.

I'm not sure which terrace i'll be at, just look for the square of Caution tape. It's not that hard to miss.

I hope to see you all there at 4 o'clock.

If you know of others who would like to attend, please feel free to invite them.

Unfortunately, this month I don't have my satellite navigation equipped hire car, so I'll need some direction on how to get there from the downtown area.

 

I'm talking to Mary right now and she told me to post this.

Go to 7th East
Go to State Street, go south until you gete to 2100 South
make a left onto 21st, there should be a courthouse on your left
Go east until you get to 1300 east
Keep going east until you past the Sizzler on your right.
About 100 yards past that, there's the entrence to Sugarhouse Park (on you right)
Follow the park around until you find the caution tape.

 

Forget the 7th East part. I was thinking outloud on that part.

Stay with the Statestreet directions until you get to 2100 South.

 

Also, for those of you who don't know. If you get lost in Sugarhouse Park and can't find everyone, just look for Mary's old white VW Bug..... that or the people standing out on the grass setting up a huge outdoor board game. Which ever floats yer boat.

 

I just got done watching the weather report and it's reporting rain for tomorrow.

We can still do the clue game but under one of the pavilions and use the tables as the rooms.
