ok, I just want to get an idea as to what people thought of the final duel between Dooku and Yoda. Did you guys like the scripted version or the film version?

As much as I liked the film version, I preferred the script version.

I trust SI will give us a legenday thread like this, for Episode III, before to much longer.

SI, is it true they wanted to have Yoda on Dooku's shoulders? Was that ever in the script? Or just a rumour?

 

G-FETT - yes it was scripted that way. After Yoda was done and Dooku was spent, he leapt onto his shoulders with his sabre above his head ready to finish Dooku off. This is where Dooku used the last of his energy to bring the crance down on Anakin and Obi.

 

I guess they must have decided that Yoda on Dooku's shoulders would be a little too OTT.

i loved the dooku fight scene, i only wish he had killed him. im still hoping yoda will kill someone in ep III

damn I wish Yoda jumped on Dooku's shoulders with sabre poised to skewer Dooku. That was ultimate fanboy wish...

 

i am not a huge fan of that seen for various reasons that i will have dicussed on other threads, but was still entertaining. My only questions is why didnt yoda throw that huge pillar on dookus ship and end it there, instead of merely tossing it aside. i thought that would have been awsome.

 

SI, do you still have the Episode II Script? I bet it's a good investment if you do?

It seemed to me like Yoda had to struggle to just stop the pillar from falling, and to move it back 10 feet or so. It would have taken a lot more work to lift it up higher and drop it on Dooku's ship.

Yes, "size matters not", but a lot of Yoda's wisdom in ESB seems to be the direct result of experiences he has in the PT.

I guess most have it by now since it went "public".

 

Well it's obvious from a story standpoint that Dooku has to escape. Not only that but it's obvious Yoda can't throw around huge objects at will. The crane and the X-Wing both moved relatively slow.
What greives me the most about this scene is the ease at which Dooku counters Yoda. I would have preferred him to get towelled.
