Oh and another thing- the thermal detonators have to be seen to be believed

I take it they have a rather large detonation zone?

Can anyone else say "JK Morpheus"?

Sounds similar to SBX/SBX2 mods for JK. They were great. Perhaps this is the equavalent in JO.

 

ANy one know were I can find somw good Lord of the Rings skins (like Gandolf, Gimil, Frodo, Orcs, swords...ect)

There are some LotR skinpacks available, but of what you listed, only Orcs and Swords can be found. I'll try to find the links later tonight and post them here for you.

 

i though i saw a sword mod on JediKight, but i'm not sure

 

Just wondering if anyone has tried this?

Jedi Knight 2 Minimizer

This is a Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast minimizer, meaning that you can
use two hotkeys to minimize and restore Jedi Knight 2 while it is running.

To use this application:
1. Unzip the archive to any directory, such as your Jedi Knight 2 directory
2. Start the application, it loads a small icon to the System Tray area
3. Start Jedi Knight 2 as you normally would
4. During the game, at any time, press
CTRL + Z to minimize Jedi Knight 2
CTRL + SHIFT + Z to restore it again
5. You can also click on the icon when Jedi Knight 2 is minimized to restore it

The icon in System Tray shows the status of Jedi Knight 2. If Jedi Knight 2 is running, the icon looks like the standard Jedi Knight 2 shortcut icon. If it is not running, the icon has a small circle and a line drawn over it, like a 'stop' sign.

Right-clicking on the icon will pop up a small menu, from which you can get About & Quick help and close the application.

OMG, there's this kid at my school that loves Ackbar just because of his famous line.

The skins are cool too.

 

What is the difference between a model and a skin? And for some reason, the download page on www.jediknight2.net won't turn up.

 

The news page (main page) at jediknighii.net says their file server is down, and they're working on restoring it.

If I may quote from my skinning tutorial

Model or Mesh - a 3d representation of an object. In this case "model" refers to a 3d representation of a humanoid. These models are seen in game as your player character and as enemies.

I downloaded the Old Ben,but once agian the unrobed version does not work. What is it with the Obi-Wan Kenobi Robed and unrobe? The unrobed version never works and it makes me mad!

What version of JO are you running? If you've never patched the game, there's your problem.

The .surf files that remove items on models needs 1.03 or 1.04 to function.

 

Where can i find the patch?
