Holy flying cheese! Did you all see the screenie of Kyle destroying the stormies with the stormtrooper gun (at LEC.com)??? That gun must have close to a zillion polygons (as opposed to JK's stormie gun with 5 polygons )

Looks good. The only thing I don't really like is the flashes in the lightsabre battle. They could get really irritating after a while.

 

That and the really cheap saber glow you see on the ground. The last one will probably be fixed though.

in that new clip, it looks to me as if Kyle is shooting force lightning from his left hand on several occasions.

Does that mean he still retains some darkside powers?

Or is what I'm looking at not force lightning at all, but a visualisation of some other force power?

 

I belive it is force lightning, and that we may be able to use dark side powers... but still, I'm not sure.

 

If you think about it... Aren't the jedi able
to do whatever they wish with the Force? I
mean these force powers in JK games are a bit
too specified to be dark or light abilities.
Of course it makes sense in a game, but still...

 

Kyle's continued ablilty to use force lightning doesn't sit well with me. It means he's still on the dark-side.

Plo Koon (From the Jedi Council) can toss lightning. It all depends on how much of a control you have of the Force. After all, Luke used grip on two Gamorreans. And, do you think that he'd teach his students by saying "All right, we're the good guys, so you can only do this Force power and this one, not this one because it's what the bad guys do."

The difference being that jedi, according to Yoda, use the force for defence, never attack. And force lightning is an attack move, if ever I saw one.

Now I suppose it's time to list all the occasions in the films (not to mention EU) where Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan & Luke use the force for attack...

 

But if you are attacked, and then retaliate in self-defense, is that not defense???
