Hello again, y'all. Things are much better here - everyone is carrying on with life to the best of their ability. Now that school is out, we've started working on some remodeling in the house, starting with the kitchen. My hubby and Michelle's hubby are working hard at redoing the kitchen cupboards - they have rebuilt all the drawers and reset the facings on the cabinets and now Michelle and I (and the girls sometimes) are refinishing everything. It's mostly in a dark blue and a light blue and just changing from that horrible brown has opened up the kitchen - at least to the eye. We've ordered a new hood for the stove and it should be here in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, we'll get the present work finished.

I can hardly wait until July. My Medicare Part B will kick in and I'll finally be able to do something about my knees. Nat, you remember how it was back at the LA convention in '07...it was only one knee then. When I took Chris to Orlando in '10, I rented a scooter to get around. I am looking forward to taking long walks again. We'll see what the Dr.s can do for me.

I am glad things are going better Sel! Sounds like the kitchen remodel is going well and I bet it looks great! I'm happy that you get your mobility back for your knees. *hugs* Long walks are awesome!

 

Hello again, y'all. Nothing is happening here right now but I thought I would check in anyway and see if anyone else had posted. Always good to see you, Nat and know that all is well there. Say hello to Bevin for me - I miss chatting with both of you - and just about everyone else, too! I'm still on yahoo (stilsinginit) and aol (ssrsingit) if anyone wants to know. For sure, I'm on Thursday nights (on yahoo) if anyone wants to give me a yodel.

and no, all ships should be pink. you can only change the highlights. no other customization allowed, so says the culture for pink over-obssession for all things in existence.

strangely, it's like the shields from dune. the balls move slowly enough that they just go through. it's really annoying.
