Hey! I decided to put together a page for fans of "The Jedi Prince" series. For those that don't know, the series ran in 1992 and 1993 and consisted of the following books: The Glove of Darth Vader Lost City of the Jedi Zorba the Hutt's Revenge Mission From Mount Yoda Queen of the Empire Prophets of the Dark Side The stories focused on many of the cast of the OT along with new ones such as Ken, Trioculus, Grand Moff Hissa, Supreme Prophet Kaddan, and Triclops. So feel free to introduce yourself if you would like to join the club. Maybe start off by talking about: Your favorite character that was introduced in this series and why. Your favorite installment in the series. Any other comments or questions about the series and characters. Please refrain from immature behavior such as baiting, profanity, spamming, ect.
I read these books before my kids were born, like over 16 years ago so I cant remember the stories or characters!!
I was in 1st grade when these books came out and I remember being so excited to see new Star Wars characters. My favorite of all of the books had to be Zorba the Hutt's Revenge. I thought a bearded Hutt was so cool at the time. Loved that Han had a robot maid too.
It was many moons ago, and I was old enough to read on my own when these came out. I thought it was the best find in the library since they allowed free access to the typewriter Anyway, I remember these stories vaugely, and I hope these are still available somewhere as I would like to maybe someday read them to my niece when she is older. My faverite characters were the three eyed humans, I remeber wishing I had a third eye when I read these stories no matter which spot on my head it would happen to be at My favorite part of the whole series I believe was the traping of the bad guys in the abdandoned city to die and rot in the dark bowls of the place with no hope for food, water, nor rescue. It was a very dark and open ended ending that I enjoyed then and still do at the thought of the prophets burried alive in a city.
I have been looking for them as well (I used to have them all as a young kid, but they have been lost to time). I did find them on Amazon in a two volume set. I will definitely read them to my daughter in a few years when she is old enough. I was a big fan of Han's house on Bespin. I really enjoyed Ken's character and am disappointed he hasn't made any further appearances. My favorite book was Zorba The Hutt's Revenge. Loved seeing Trioculus frozen in carbonite. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_11?url=search-alias=stripbooks&field-keywords=jedi prince&sprefix=Jedi Prince,aps,224 If anyone else can find them feel free to share!
Fun, fun series. Don't have a favorite book or character but living in the Lost City or in an air house like Han did would be awesome.
Yea the air house was pretty awesome. Wonder why they dont make any appearances on other worlds. Especially over-populated ones like Coruscant.
Han Solo's Sky House on Bespin: It was leased to him and Chewie by Lando around 5ABY. As a kid I always thought it was awesome and would have loved to own one....heck I still would.
*looks around at empty room* So did anyone else ever think that the Jedi Prince series would be used for the sequel trilogy (and beyond)? I dont mean since the official confirmation of Episode 7, but perhaps when you first read the series as a kid?
I can see Episode 7 featuring just another crazy guy who wants to take the Imperial throne (someone like Trioculus). Somehow I expect Episode 7 to ressembe a eighties/nineties story.
