I'll be polishing it up, AGAIN, and taking some pics for my site later this week.

 

All right, I finally had time to repolish my latest hilt, and take some pictures of it.
MHS base set plus:
-3w true cyan led
-momentary 3w driver board from Corbin
-Luke FX sound module
-mirror polished brass accents: I designed, dremelled, and sanded & polished (by hand) these parts

There were 2 additional Corbin components I had to leave out, as there was no room left inside the hilt. I barely managed to get the thing closed as it was.

Why, thank you.

There are a few things I couldn't get worked out in time for Con for this hilt, so there is probably 1 more personal hilt in the next couple months. It WILL top this one for features. But I will need to spend a lot of time researching and hunting for the proper parts, namely switches.

 

I just noticed that split brass part on the emitter. My Sithsaber originally had one like that made of PVC until I changed it to the chrome one I have now. It looks badass in brass. How reliable is Corbin with the orders?

 

Corbin is great to order from.

 

Well, my new anodized hilt is FINALLY finished, except for custom li-ion packs. The packs won't be here for a couple weeks, but I do have temporary power sources rigged up.

I won't post any pics till after the Science Centre event, on the 28th, though. ;-)

 

Here is my newest lightsaber thigh holster. Designed for hilts that use convertec knobs, and done all in leather and metal. This one is truely one-handed, after some mods from the version that some of you saw at the halloween event. I replaced a plastic piece with a plate of stainless steel. To make that plate, I went through 12 (yes twelve) standard dremel cutting discs, 1 heavy-duty cutting disc, and 2 dremel sanding drums, in addition to lots of hand sanding.

All right!! FINALLY - I have taken a bunch of pics and done an overhaul of my website, mainly the custom LED section.

At last I reveal here on the internet, my custom LED lightsaber #7. I will only post 1 pic here, and then link to the relevant page on my site for the rest of the pics and construction details. It did have it's first public viewing at the Science Centre Halloween event.
