FF:NZ Jedi Religion & the Census

TV3's 6:00pm News just had a story about it, but I only caught then end.

Something about 53,000 people marking their religion as Jedi in the NZ Census, but it not being recognised as a religion here or in Australia - gee, what a surprise ... NOT!!

They are not going to make "Jedi" or "Sith" a religion - not even if Channel Z tell people to write that.

(Yes Channel Z (radio station) told their listeners to put 'Jedi' as their religion)

I saw the lady on 3 News say some "Star Warsy" things - but Dad changed the channel to One News and I forgot - until comming online.

It wasn't a "channel Z" thing, it was an email campaign that, being unoriginal idiots, Channel Z DJ's continued to trumpet.

 

Bah!! whats the point of a census if ya don't get your say! I say we all dress in long robes and lightsaber their Asses!

Right then so we have decided, we shall not allow our religious freedoms to be abused! if people are allowed to run around in saffron bedsheets, eat lentils and bang anoying drums and call themselves hare krishnas then we can run about in beige bathrobes, waving hasbro plastic sabers and call ourselves jedis!!

and if there are 53,000 of us why not form our own political party while we're at it!
we out number those hare krishnas by at least 10 to 1!!

Aww nah! I prefer to delegate that is after all the key to succesful management!! I say anyone born after 1979 can be used as shock troops, we could get ace or youagain to draft a strongly worded letter, however we will have to spell check it first.
