Summary: The first clone to receive Order 66

They were heroes. They were warriors. They were about to be simultaneously eliminated. Their blood was about to be spilled on a hundred worlds from the Core to the Outer Rim. Their honor was about to stripped from them. They were protectors of peace and justice. They were about to be betrayed by a Republic they had faithfully served for a thousand generations; murdered by those they trusted.

“Execute Order 66,” came the grave and haunting voice of Lord Sidious. Chancellor; Emperor Palpatine.

“It will be done, my Lord.”

 

Great drabble! A lot of emotion in those few words.

 

Blaster fire rang out. The Jedi were now just a memory.

The great thing about a drabble like this is how concise and poignant the impact is.

 

Sometimes short and to the point effectively conveys more than a novel.

The Jedi were now just a memory. ..what is sad is that in many ways the Jedi were not even that as Palpatine did so much to distort what was remembered of them and to make peoples memory of the Jedi inaccurate.

Its amazing how, in just a few short sentences, you can make a powerful impact.

Although many peeps would say hey, the Jedi cant be limited to a few sentences, yknow they went out fighting, there was more to it blah blah..lol..really in the end, your drabble just sums the Jedi order up perfectly. The way they went down, destroyed by the one thing they trusted so much it blinded them to its darkness..
Oh the irony!

Your drabble is just perfect in describing the end of the Jedi Order and the Jedi Purge.

And thats why its so sad.
