OK fine, it's "outside the timeline". At least the novels are.

Nope, they just dont know where to put them. Trust us, they're in the timeline, check out the Essential Chronology.

Actually, you're both right. Think about this, the DH timeline is the DH Star Wars comic timeline. As in, this is where the comics fit into the overall timeline. The Dark Forces graphic novels aren't comics. So they don't fit on the comic timeline, but they do fit on the overall timeline.

So do you think the bald guy with the mustache in Kiel Charny's company died? He was the one trapped under the tree after the Sith Lord's Force-storm hit them, Rajan is his name. And then when the Sith moved in for the attack on their speeder bikes, they showed a panel of Rajan on the ground after their 1st pass, I think he died, what about y'all?

Yeah... it looks as if Rajan's gone to be one with the Force. :(

Ironic, isn't it, that Charny says Rajan wouldn't die?

I think the series makes the Jedi look too weak. It looks like Gladiator. There should be some more ships and support vessels and there are no creative uses of the force. Did Peter Pan leave or did he go fight the Sith in orbit or elsewhere?

I doubt that Valenthyne Farfalla would just leave over Hoth's little tantrum, I think he just went elsewhere on the planet to do battle

Dark Forces isn't placed in the timeline because the stories take place at different times--two novels a bit before ANH (I think), and the third novel, after RotJ.

The Timeline is "series-oriented," so each entry covers an entire series. Most of the series take place relatively close together in time. Dark Forces doesn't. Hence, the series is placed outside the timeline.

We'll see how tough the Jedi are in the next two issues, I guess, since we're pretty sure they come out on top in this.

maybe it would be a better series if the jedi didn't win

Maybe this isn't a spoiler since the info's been readily available since 1998...

    But anyway...

    Spoilers

    Spoilers

    Spoilers

The Jedi don't come out on top. Every Jedi and Sith on Russaan is killed, save for Darth Bane. Things are getting even bleaker in this series.

Ah, yes, but I was replying to a redundant question...
