Don't you need a lot of money to invest in Paintball?

If I'm not mistaken, T.A.G. Paintball provides all equipment and gear when you wanna play there, but I'm really not all that sure about this myself, so I guess I'll leave this question to the resident "Paintball expert" here..... TK-625, what say you??

What I know is that apparently, you pay a per person fee, and you pay for the paintball ammo, and they will provide everything else... am I right, TK-625??

    Paintball Heads Up:

$15 per person, that gives you a JT USA Spectra Proshield HPS [Head Protection System], Light Body Armor, Semi Auto Tippmann Prolite and all the CO2 you can use.

While they have paintballs by small pack amounts, it's better to go for box buys by groups. Alot more worthwhile and smarter.

It's $400 per box [Marbalizers], that gives you 2000 rounds to share. And while it's not alot, IMHO, it's better than single buys.

And yes, Paintball is very expensive here thanks to the Police and the local Field Operator.

FYI, a box of paint in Europe and the States cost half of what you pay here. Go figure...

Here's me using my Custom Eclipse Automag at the field:

    Here's a closeup of my 'Angel'. :D

    [image=http://album.mystarhub.com.sg/uploadImages/deadeye@starhub.net.sg/DEADEYEECLIPSE.jpg]

Feel free to ask me anything else, paintballwise. Check That.

    Stay safe all.

    ** FINAL REMINDER **

Some of you still haven't given me your choices for the nomination of Committee Members.

If you choose NOT to send in your nomination, then I will just assume that the same 3 Committee Members will be your choices for nomination in the same categories that they are serving in right now.

That is, I assume that you are nominating:
    - NodNarBoen for City Rep
    - Darth_Eagle for Vice Rep
    - JediJean for Secretary

However, if your choices for the nominees differ from the above, please be reminded that the cut-off time to send in your nominations for the Committee Members by PM is 11.00pm on 17 Jan 2003.

The nominees for the various Committee positions will be announced at around 11.30pm on 17 Jan 2003.

Voting for Committee Members will begin at Midnight and last till 11.00pm on 31 Jan 2003.

The policy is of a 'revolving' council the last I remembered.
We all agreed to this for the sole reason that everyone get to experience a year of being City Rep at least. Also, if I remember correctly, the V.Rep was supposed to take over after understudying the City Rep.

That's all I have to say, my vote has been sent. Have a nice day.

The nominees for City Rep are:

    - NodNarBoeN (but he has declined the nomination for this position)

    - lukedecop (but he has declined the nomination for this position)

    - Darth_Eagle

    - JediJean (but I'm declining the nomination for this position)

Therefore, CONGRATULATIONS to Darth_Eagle as she is now the new City Rep for 2003.

The nominees for Vice Rep are:

    - Darth_Eagle (but since she is already the City Rep, she is automatically excluded from being nominated for this position)

    - Faiz

    - JediJean (but I'm declining the nomination for this position)

    - TK-625

    - JazzyJazz

    The nominees for Secretary are:

    - JediClare (but she has declined the nomination for this position)

    - Darth_Eagle (but since she is already the City Rep, she is automatically excluded from being nominated for this position)

    - JediJean

    - JazzyJazz

Please send in your votes for Vice Rep and Secretary to me by PM or E-mail.

The closing date for voting for these 2 remaining Committee positions is 31 Jan 2003.

And once again, CONGRATULATIONS to Darth_Eagle!! :)

    Hey JediClare,

How many days were you at OBS?
And did you enjoy yourself there?
I was at OBS for 5 days when I was in Sec. 3, and I loved every minute of it! :)

    I remember doing things like:

    - Abseiling
(I remember the kind of armpower this took! hehheh!)

    - Flying Fox
(I got a chance to do this TWICE, and I got such a rush out of it BOTH TIMES - haha!)

    - Rope Confidence Course
(This actually made some of the guys cry - LOL!)

    - Some of the Obstacle Course stuff
(Like scrambling over this wall, and standing on this really tall pole to jump off and catch hold of something else dangling just above you, doing the trust fall, etc...)

    - Taking a walk through the jungle at night when it's pitch black and you can't even see your hand in front of your face
(But on the "brighter" side of things, I'd never seen so many fireflies in my life!)

    - Canoeing to Coney Island and camping out on the beach there overnight
(And eating somewhat saltish Maggie Mee for dinner, marinated with grains of sand - geez, someone oughta sue the cook! :p)

It was quite a memorable time for me, and getting a chance to go to OBS was actually the main reason I joined the NCC - I must have been nutz or something!! :p

Of course, the other reason I joined the NCC was so that I could get a chance to do what most girls in Singapore will probably NEVER get a chance to do (ie. handle a REAL LIVE WEAPON!! Range/Target practice sure was fun!! hehheh! :p)

Welcome back, JediClare! OBS must had been fun and a very good learning experiece about yourself and your friends.

    And thanks! :)

I been to OBS too; Camp Permai in Sarawak actually (near to Gunung Santubong there) in 1995. Quite fun but since it's the first time I went on such things, I learned a lot about myself (like being less scared of jumping down the really high rope course, and trusting my harness & safety belt at all times). From what I remember, we had
-Obstacle Course (must carry the "King" around with none of us touching certain parts of the obstacles, and the King not touching the obstacles at all),
    -Low Rope Course :_|
    -Absailing
-High Rope Course which include the flying fox (and at the end of it, I was too short to reach the ground!! )
-3 Day Jungle Tracking, Canoeing and Cross Country Run. (My team got lost at the end of the Jungle Tracking, after we set a record for reaching the center point among the 3 teams :( ).

At the end of it, we get to enjoy 2 days of touring Kuching. :p

Well, if I can get myself more fit, I'll love to go for another one. ;)
