Yay social thread Basically this is to just chat about whatever you want, anything that doesn't really fit in another thread, or need it's own thread can go in here. Silliness is fine and welcome, just no spam or the like. I know we use the meetup boards for some communication, but I'd like to see our TFN forums get a little action as well (being an admin here and all ).

Hopefully some of our lurkers will post in here as well, and perhaps we can talk you into a meeting or two Anyone is welcome to post here, the more the merrier!

 

Hey DM! Bit of funny news, my Dad is moving to Des Moines next weekend and he got a place in West Des Moines a couple blocks from the "R2 dome".

 

cool, that's an expensive area, IIRC. Must be Lucas trying to gouge all the SW fans who want to live near R2...

So, how's everyone? I have 6.5 more weeks until I'm in Des Moines full time

 

We're gonna be up that way the weekend of the 20-22... anyone else

 

No I have to work I won't be up there again until the end of May.

 

That's OK, we have to see my newly-moved-to-Des Moines dad sometime in a short weekend, as we have to leave early enough Sunday to get back for a HotA meeting. At least a couple of you guys are coming down in June for the Bantha BBQ, right!?!

 

Well, possibly not. It's a insanely busy summer. I'm sure we'll come down for something in the semi-near future though

 

I think any travel plans are tenuous at best. Our schedule is mighty full of traveling this summer, so it may not be til October before we see some of you...

 

we'll be up again around July 14-ish for a family reunion...

I want to throw rocks at my car. I just had a $650 repair done on it, and now it's acting up again. I'm scared it might be the alternator... I don't have any money to fix it again!

 

Alternator's are relatively cheap at least. Might be time for a new car though

 

I'd like to throw rocks at my nose. Allergies are going nuts, and about to get worse, with 2 more cats moving in this weekend.

 

hehe... we combined 2 cat couples to make four. Now just three since Chewie died, but he's not been replaced by a dog and a ferret.

What's the point? Well, you could have it worse

 

Not sure if you are like me or not but I have the same problems when exposed to new animals. Thankfully after a few days of hell I have no problems.
