Just wondering, do we have any confirmation that Moff Jerjerrod died aboard Death Star II? Or if he died at all? I'm wondering, because I'm considering using him in a fanfic.

    Man...or typo?

He was a great man. Great men don't hurry, they don't rush.

    Life...death...the same.

If you go by the novelisation, he's a dead duck.

Yep, Jerjerrod died with the explosion of IG-88.

(However, contrast that with Tarkin's case, where there were conceptual plans in motion after ROTJ to have him manage to have escaped the explosion of the 1st Death Star and return to plague the Rebellion.)

He died letting his officers leave and try to escape. They were fearful after the Executor crashed into the Death Star. The Empreror gave him orders to fire on the moon if the rebels suceed in taking out the sheilds. That scene was gonna be in the movie as well. In fact, you can still see the Death Star rotating to aim at the moon in the movie.

yeah, he died when the DS2 exploded. He was following the Emperor's order to destroy Endor if the shield went down.

The movie reflects this, as you'll note the DS2 was facing away from Endor when the fleet attacks and it fires upon Liberty and Independence. When the DS2 explodes, it is facing directly at "us" with the falcon flying directly away from it, and toward Endor, hence the DS2 a was facing endor as it exploded, supporting that aspect of novel...whether or not the scene of Jerjerrod actually readying it to fire were ever planned to be filmed remains to be seen, but the film does support that aspect visually at least.

Palpy probably told Jerjerrod to do it beforehand, as a failsafe.
