Jillian's - Get Together (Updated with Official Information)

Are you talking costuming as part of this gathering?

 

I was thinking casual, but if you want to show off your costume, you're more than welcome to wear it (at least you'll be easy to recognize as part of the group).

I won't be wearing a costume because I don't have one... but I'll probably be wearing a badge with my name or something so people can recognize me.

 

I could be intersted in in this one. It just depends on what s going on at the Con. I know that they show the films during the evenings. They may do that on Friday and Saturday though. Not sure until we see a real schedule of events.

No schedule yet on starwarscelebration.com (what's up with that? )... But I think it's a safe bet to say that we'll be there... Remind me, is this for Thursday or Friday night? What time were you thinking? I mean, start it at 8, 'cause there can't be much going on that late at the con, right?

since the con closes down at 10 it would make sense to meet up a little after that on Thursday night. I might be up for some bowling

I've still got to talk to my teachers... I wish the one teacher would tell us when our projects are due...

I hate having all of my classes on Thursday.

 

This is probably going the be a late night affair anyway. So those that want to try and make it after the Opening Ceremonies are more than welcome to check it out. I was thinking about meeting up at about 9:00 that night anyway (and we all know there's not going to be much sleeping going on).

And don't worry - I've been around for awhile and people still don't know who I am! At least we have something that will give us a few conversation starters if it suddenly gets awkward and quiet.

Hey I'll be there and when are opening ceremonies

 

I'm all for hangin' out with the fans. Although I don't really know anyone on here, we all know Star Wars so, there's a common bond with us all. Family, if you will. My best friend and I hang out at Jillian's here (in charlotte, NC) from time to time so, we'll probably drop by. I look forward to meeting some of you. Very cool and a good idea, DG (Darth_Glymmer).

 

Here's the thing though. As big as this seems to be getting, would they be able to handle the amount of people that we may have showing up there? I mean I'm all up for it, totally. I'm just wondering if there'll be room for us all.

Hey John! I went there for the last Celebration and they have space to accomodate quite a few people. They also have a few private rooms that have pool tables. These private rooms are big as well. I would say this would be a perfect meeting place. And if it does turn out that a 100 people show up, then we could always convene to a different location.

I imagine people will be coming and going anyway.

 

this looks like fun too! i think it will be fun to hang out with other SW fans from around the country, well WORLD for that matter.

 

The more, the merrier. I can't wait to meet everybody.

 

What night will this be again? Wednesday? Anyone gonna be there by Wed. night?

 

We were planning for that Thursday evening. Probably around 8:30- and on.

 

I'd consider going. It depends on what else is going on, and who else plans on being there. I'm trying to keep my schedule somewhat open, so I won't be disappointed if something comes up and I have to miss something else.

Sure there's other things going on that night. This is just what we're planning on doing. There's going to be 25,000+ people there. I HIGHLY doubt there'll be a shortage of things to do. If you're looking for something better, then you don't have to go.

 

How long is Jillian's open? The reason I'm asking is that I'd like to attend the showing of ANH at 9:30 on Thursday night and head over to Jillian's afterwards, which would be approx. 11:30-12:00.
