Seeing way to much Earth in a Star Trek movie. Yes, I know Earth has usually played a part in the movies, especially in the old generation films, but they always kinda ended up with an adventure in space. I'm not even a big ST fan, but I want a space adventure in my Star Trek movie. I'm seeing way to much Earth based adventure here.
The first refit was destroyed in only the third film. In-universe, it was technically the same ship from the original series and decades old, but effectively it was a whole new Enterprise. And who knows? Maybe this one will be repaired.
I dunno, its just like, rookie crew, the ship is destroyed....the next one should be called Star Trek Back To Driver's Ed.
I'm not sure that's his posse. Looks more like the army of guards charged with transporting him, that he ultimately kills in a daring escape that was part of his plan all along.
Yeah by now goodguys should know if they capture the badguy halfway through the movie to just let them go, then they can't enact their evil plan that hinged on them being captured.
Redshirts die on the TNG/VOY/DS9 time period, it's just that the death toll is more spread ot amongst all the colors, not just read.
Nah, it's because redshirts were the "security" grunts in TOS and the colors were switched for TNG so they became goldshirts.
I don't think there's any spoilers in there, there's so many things from so many points in the show that it sounds like they've just got a general Trek licence. Unless the movie is so overstuffed and unoriginal that Nero's back from the dead and they've got a Gorn, and General Change, and the BORG of all things.
Yeah, me too. The Gorn figure into the video game that tie in with the movie, so there's that. I was just throwing the link up there, to see what everybody else thought.
Apparently, Paramount has been showing the first half-hour of the movie to the press, which you can read reports about here and here (spoilers in links). Man, can't wait to see the movie now!
