New account = new face = free coffee.
I can only book keep for so many things, Winged, yeesh.
Winged!, great to see you again! Ah, yes, Alexander d' Cannith! That'd be me! It's great to see another IBOP-er [?] still around! How are things these days? Any other FUF IBOP-ers still around?
And thanks, darthramza, for the warm welcome!
*takes a cup of black coffee, adding a bit of cream and sugar*
- The Trane
ramza, with all the free coffee you give out, it's a wonder this Coffee House is still in business.
Coltran/KOTORFan, things are good, cheers. As you can see, everything's got a little bigger since the old days.
Not many IBOPers left. greyjedi125, Ktala, Saintheart, DarthXan318 and myself are the only ones still active in the RPF, I think. Saint only recently stepped down as mod actually, and Xany was his successor.
We're still riding high on the stimulus money. Apparently our serving sizes are "Too big to fail."
... Giant snowflakes? Not on my watch! *Pulls out his can of Giant Snowflake repellant*
*breezes in for a quick coffee*
Interesting riddles in Man Cubs. I have no idea what the answer is, but I'll get it...
And welcome (back), Trane!
*breezes back off* One more day in London!
I think I know what the answer is for yours, Xan. Mine....absolutely no clue, and Wing's not telling.
The last line throws me.
I think I got ´em
My best thought was "a journey's end." Or rather, the possibility to end a journey. By definition, when a ship comes to port, its journey (at least for the moment) has ended. By contrast, taking off is the beginning (or at least, middle) of a journey, so doing so takes away the possibility that one's journey is ending. Similarly, this is not taken to space because a person is at that point in somewhere in the middle of their journey. However, it's always with a ship because the only purpose we build any sort of transportation vehicles is to help take us to the end of our journeys. It should be evident why it's not of any use to a ship.
But, yeah. I'm completely lost. Glad that Jin only has to choose a planet to land on.
Wish I'd thought of that; oh, well. Wing said it didn't matter if I got it right or not anyway, so I'm not gonna worry too much.
... Unless he's just saying that, and it actually did.
Well, IBOPers who look back on it as a positive experience, at least.
IMHO, it was such a slow game that I had weeks to practice the art of solo RPing, building up, getting to know and training a flight of New Republic K-Wing pilots; ordered (cos I wasn't keen) by AdmiralNick22 to attack Vong, and killed off by LightsideApprentice a day later.
My first non-recoverable RPG fatalities on any media.
Charlie Harper: "Know what this is?" *Rubs thumb and forefinger together*
Charlie Harper: "The world's smallest violin."
Someone gimme a Mountain Dew!
Deeeeewwwwww! *comes running in, a can of Dew in each hand before he trips and falls, crashing to the floor with a thud and sliding a few feet forward before coming to a halt*
As this seems to be the fanboy/fangirl forum of choice . . . Sins of the Saints is coming today Postponed, cnacelled, revived, revitalized, rebooted and finally it comes up and what I have seen looks . . . scary
Sorry, needed to get this out of my system.
Sithy - Yeah you lucked out picking the New Republic faction, I'm afraid. That was the one with the neverending sub-GM problems. If you joined the Empire or one of the Force Users groups, you might've fared better.
You´re in? Oh my, I wa afraid you wouldn´t join us for the ride. Well, I´ll promote it, before Fin got to self-promote himself . . . it´s up
It's cool, Sirak, I'm pretty psyched for it as well. Plus I'm loving the three week submission period that handily provides me with ample procrastination time.
So, we´re all psyched before his opening post Indeed Sis´ ,good it´s finally here.
And Ramza, same thoughts from my side. I just have to rework a character sheet from the past, but I seriously think three weeks is a good time frame. Very comfortable.
Now I just need to do Bad Day, alone. I forced Fin to bring it up, by releasing him from GM duty in there.
Leans over, and picks a can from one of Sarge221's outstretched hands.
Looks at green, red and white container, critically.
"To my knowledge, we don't have this in England. What's it taste like?"
*picks his head up and just stares at Sith*
....................It tastes like awesome..........
It's like dangerous acid and delicious married in amazing.
...That's another common way to describe it yes
And then, if you don't like the regular kind, try the gamer fuel version or some of the other flavors. I'm pretty fond of the Horde flavor.
Muwahaha, Hoooorrrde. Bout time I hear how another picks the clearly superior kind of the Game Fuel unlike a few others I know <.< *glances at the Xani*
Alliance is the best.
In other news, the Man Cubs fic has finally been updated!
