My work experience girl is from Poland and has been in Britain for a year and a half.
The first hour was the worst, but after English for Beginners, Sith-I-5 style-ee (AltaVita's Babelfish translator does not do Polish), I've taught her several words, am running through her times tables - not strictly work experience duties, but I get these children imposed on me, so if I have no choice in the matter, they are darn well learning their times tables before going back to school! - have explained how phones, scanners and fax machines work, and so she feels at home, I'm getting her to teach me some Polish too.

If I was saying hello to Master Yoda, I would say "Dzien Dobry" (Gen-Dobry) since you use that with a female or older person, and Yoda is definitely an older person.

And can I have a coffee please. Café Americana, white. Cheers... I needed that.

I can pronounce it, eg. "Chage-t", but I cannot find the symbols on Word for the last two letters when writing it.
