Buff, NY JoeD Toy Show - October 2013

Well looks like we can only do a costume without a mask since that would be the only wat to properly work table and answer questions since we only have 2 people for morning and 1 for afternoon.

 

I have a bad feeling about this...

Will I be alone in the afternoon? I would be happy to skip this if we're not going to have a good presence.

 

Dan and I were thinking the same thing ... both of us can only go till about noon and if you can't get there till about 130 it doesn't seem like much of a presence...which to me tends to be par for the course for the minor events and non bisons events

 

Mindy is working tomorrow and I am trying to get a sitter.

Where is everyone else for this?

 

Updating status....

Sitter secured. I won't be able to make it until 11:30-11:45 but will bring my AT-ST Driver so I can also talk.

I will let Joe know we have a low turnout but will be able to make a small appearance for at least a few hours.

 

Is it worth it for me to get there late then? How long do you plan to stay?

 

Take the day off Elaine. I can stay until about 2.

Extremely disappointed in the participation level for this event.

 

As am I.

I think there are a lot of big fall events this weekend that might be competing for time and attention. Columbus Day weekend and all.

 

This was a great event. Nonstop people at the table.

I would post pics, but sadly there aren't any. Too busy with the crowds and manning the table.....

 

Thank you, Dan, Steve and Chris for supporting us at this event. At least we were able to have a presence for a portion of the day.

I was in Georgia, else I'd have been there. sorry all. Nice job on all those that were there and who supported the event!

 

I'm still über impressed with the 6 year old girl asking where the all white Vader was AND knowing the back story!

We had some new questions asked of us, posed for more pictures, met a couple of new recruits, talked with fans who had seen us at events many moons ago, laughed, joked, and had a great time. Very busy, but also very fun.

We found the answer to "just what do 3 guys who are usually smiling for pictures going to do alone?"...

 

I'm not sure I want to know.
