ST John Boyega (Finn) in Episode VII

This is what Ive come to believe. Put a bounty on his head if he escapes and goes AWOL. Phasma is sent to capture him, not kill him. Word must get back he displays force sensitivity in some way?

 

I think he said chase the Boy or Lightsaber, we cant do both.

My theory is the powers to be in the first order know Finn is force sensitive, and have kept in from him.

 

That is an interesting theory, especially if the elite unit are all force sensitive troopers.

 

Well it's clear the stormtroopers are still bad shots...lol

 

I had the theory that only Finn's stormtrooper unit is force sensitive, but then why do they not use the force during the village battle, but rather flame throwers.

It's either because Kylo felt his Force awakening or Finn knows some crucial informations about the Starkiller base or both.

 

My fan theory about Finn's awakening: Im guessing Finn accidentally uses the force down at the village, in order to protect some of the villagers. Kylo wrongly suspects Finn's friend for using the force and kills him in cold blood. After the raid, Finn arrives safely back on the stardestroyer but is visibly shaken by what happened down at the village. As you can see in the teaser and BTS reel (when he takes of his helm, and escorts Poe), Finn wasn't detained by Kylo. Still, knowing that Kylo will execute him if he ever discovers that he's force-sensitive, he starts plotting his escape with the help of Poe.

About the droid. I don't think the First Order know's that Poe has hidden the lightsaber inside it. The droid escapes just before they capture Poe. That would also explain why they are also shooting BB-8 down at Jakku(not knowing that it actually contains the saber).
Kylo takes Poe prisoner and tortures him for information (about the saber) onboard the Stardestroyer (in the BTS reel, Poe is clearly bruised). Poe is probably some though mother****er, and doesn't break. Awaiting execution because he won't talk, his fortunes change when Finn helps him break out. After the escape, the First Order sends probe droids down to Jakku to find Finn and Poe. They don't find Poe, but they find Finn though. Know suspecting him to be the force-sensitive, Kylo orders him dead and sends out a squadron of Tie's down to Jakku to hunt him. Eventually by fate, Finn encounters both Rey and BB-8 and the adventure begins. Both unknowing that their destiny lies within BB-8.

 

Yep yep, I think that's rubbish...Just wanted to echo how you purposefully demeaned my post, alright..

 

MSW confirmed Kylo uses his force powers to extract info from Poe. So the FO does know the saber is inside bb-8.

I remember speculation that Finn could end up being trained as a Jedi by Maz Kanata, which would prove a pretty interesting place to take his character if she's truly a pirate in the swashbuckling/smuggling/stealing sense of the word. Maybe Finn loses a leg to Kylo Ren in TFA and has to get a cybernetic one, the Star Wars equivalent of a peg leg. So if he joins Maz Kanata's pirate gang, he'd fit right in. It'd be fun to see him caught up in some swashbuckling adventure when he's reintroduced in Episode VIII, perhaps even on a tropical planet to push the pirate imagery even further.
