Nice touch with keeping his accent like Idris kept his. His speech pattern even sounded like Stacks.

Hey, so I was wondering something the other day. Where did the rumor about DJ giving Finn a new weapon in TLJ originate from? and are we sure these aren't just the explosives for the mission he gives to him?

 

That look he has in the 'bloodied' photo is reminiscent of John Wayne's look in The Green Berets.

 

Good question... I honestly don't know, I thought it was just speculation. We don't seem to know a lot about DJ right now

 

Well then, I have no excuse not to see both. Maybe a double feature.

Back to Star Wars, would like to see John and Benecio share a good amount of screen time.

 

Finn is getting some love in Star Wars Adventures.
but as for the rest of the new books announcement, most had Rey at the front with Finn behind her. Even Rose seems to have gotten more love than Finn.

I do wonder if another comic book, like how the Poe comic was released after TFA, will be released after TLJ

 

I think a problem is that Finn's 1st mission was Jakku.
So I think pre-TFA, a comic book miniseries makes more sense.

Then comes the whole are there time jumps in TLJ? If no, then there isn't any chance for anything. If there are jumps, how much time for coma Finn?

Best bet could be post TLJ stories, where I think/hope there will be a time jump between TLJ and IX. So Finn would be more well suited for real stories around the Galaxy.

 

Poe, Kylo, and Luke don't seem to be getting much love either. I wouldn't worry about it.

 

Luke makes perfect sense, same thing for Kylo. There story is movies 1st, especially anything pre-TFA.

but what's Poe's excuse? Or Finns? Maybe they think the Poe comic and the Flight Log is enough for him.
its weird that Rey got the Survival Guide and Poe the Flight Log....but Finn nothing yet?

 

I always thought that he's going to have some huge development in TLJ and it would have impacted books/comics for him in the EU, such as Finn as a character or FO world bulding. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a comic or he joins Poe in an action/adventure comic as Resistance fighters to bide time until Ep.IX or we find out more about his background and there's a new comic about how stormtroopers become stormtroopers. Finn might appear in the Phasma comic as well since she instructed him as a cadet and the comic takes place while he's a cadet. I haven't read any of the books outside of Before the Awakening, but the others seem to be about explaining how we got from ROTJ to TFA and not so much on developing Rey, Finn, Poe, or Kylo to an extent.

(In my heart of hearts, I'm hoping Finn and Poe's excuse is a romance plot. )

 

I believe the Phasma novel is about her past.

The Phasma comic mini series takes place between Force Awakens and Last Jedi.

 

If Finn's history pre TFA is going to be a plot point in TLJ then I wouldn't expect to see any books/comics/etc that would spoil any major reveals about his past.

 

I'm really really hoping Colin keeps a significant time jump in place for IX so there's room to play in this era with the lead characters.....Finn included. I doubt we're gonna see anything till after IX though.

 

Okay, so Finn is up and moving around when he get's the mission.

 

LOL, I can't help but stare at the height difference between the 2. Boyega's head is even bending a bit, if he was more straight, he would be more than a head taller.
