These people need to watch further back than the PT.

 

The OT did not do a good job about showing races other then white people to but it's sad and those people will have to get over it.

 

True, but it also implied that they weren't all clones of one man.

 

I know I know but most people won't get what is implied anyway there just going to have to deal with it.

 

Has it been confirmed that Boyega plays Zare Leonis from the Rebels cartoon?

Zare Leonis is roughly as old as Luke (i.e. well over 50 when the Force Awakens takes place). Boyega is not playing him. Maybe his kid, but not the guy you saw in Rebels.

It's things like this that makes one really proud to be a SW fan. That an 88 second trailer can inspire a fan this talented to do a piece of art this nice...it's wonderful.

John absolutely *sold* that trailer for me. When he pops up, he just looks absolutely terrified. It was awesome, set the tone for the teaser so well... Really looking forward to seeing what he can do now.

 

Yes. I had the sound up quite loud on my TV when I first watched it, and the orchestra made me crap myself when he popped up.

 

When he popped up at the beginning I was hooked in so great job on his part. Do we think he is a Stormtrooper or is he under cover?

 

if it's true he crashes and is on the run right at the start of the film then it really sets the pace.

 

It's going to be a long year, people.

 

Don't be. The trailer hit. And defined star wars to those who weren't there for ROTJ 30 years ago, or ROTS 10 years ago. Let us embrace our new fellow fans and see if Boyega can be as good as Kyle Katarn the best EU stormtrooper.

 

The 1st shot being John popping up was great. I guess the debate of John and Daisy being leads is over. There's a reason JJ highlighted there charaters 1st. Also John in the stormtrooper suit looked like Luke and Han in hope. John is our new Jedi Luke will train him is my guess. The force awakens in him.

 

Even if it's for a total of 4 seconds, based on what we saw, I think he's going to be great. It isn't easy to pull of a shot like that without looking silly and I think he managed to pull it off.

Really looks like one of those "can this day get any worse" sort of situations.
