ST John Boyega (Finn) in Episode VII

Well it is a big deal, I don't think we have ever seen this before in a big budget Science or Fantasy Fiction Movie.

 

Yeah, it's very rare for a black male to be the main focus of a franchise.

True but his name is listed First. Which suggests a big role to me. But we will see need to know who is playing what role.

 

I don't think the listing of names has anything to do with the credits. Do you really think Carrie or Harrison is getting billed over Mark?

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.

 

This is why I'm happy GL isn't anywhere near the director's chair. "Speak faster" doesn't cut it.

 

Daisy Ridley could be main lead. Daughter of either Luke or Han/Leia.

Well no but I think it does matter for the newcomers. I mean its clearly not based on anything obvious like last name or seniority or name rec for them so I assume it has some meaning.

 

So, Boyega, Ridley, and Driver are your trio of young leads? I thought Driver was the villain and Isaac was a lead according to the article posted earlier. The order here doesn't appear to have a meaning

 

1. Daisy is Han and Leia's daughter showcased by her position between "mom and dad".
2. Boyega as the Jedi and Isaac as the dashing Solo type character sitting together.
3. Driver sitting beside Boyega as his antagonist (sith)
4. Andy Serkis sitting next to Boyega and Isaac makes me think he'll be a good guy this time around.

JJ, Mark, Gleeson, and Sirkis all have the same color chairs. There's the main story.

 

I also hope for the best.

 

I thought JJ did a brilliant job of casting the Star Trek reboot, so I trust his judgement. This movie is being pieced together slowly & methodically as well it should. I would have been devastated if Zac Efron had been cast in a lead role. It would have made the whole thing a sick, corporate Disney joke.

Nah, it's all about the positioning of the chairs, and masonic angles that are formed by those positions.

 

He is expected to play a young jedi. Remember guys, this isn't confirmed yet.
Personally I hope the Jedi order is non existent in Episode 7 seeing as Anakin's sacrifice left it in perfect balance. Forming a new jedi order would simply unbalance the force again. Luke would likely realise this and not dabble in galactic politics, or the reformation of the order, living his life out on the frontier, until trouble for the galaxy arises (Episode VII) and he is swept into the forefront again.
